This is the sequel to the classic film, Independence Day, on Blu-ray, in a durable steelbook case!

As for the product: My Best Buy store ran-out of these on display at the front, but browsed the aisles and finally found it on an end-cap in the back. As for the film: Compared to other sequels (that were planned just after the release of their progenitor), I think the fact that this film was only created "due to popular demand" (20-years after the original) means that we should appreciate it for what it is and not be so upset about what it is not.

Nice sequel to the original. Really enjoyed the movie. Hope they come out with another one.

Super awesome movie! The first one was great so I had to have the 2nd. Looks and sounds so good on 4K.

Hollywood has been churning out a lot of stinkers lately especially when it comes to franchise sequels but Independence Day Resurgence actually rises above the bad to become an enjoyable movie. Now, it doesn't capture the same magic as the first but in terms of sequels it delivers and should have captured the attention of more moviegoers because I'm actually interested to see where the next chapter will take the new characters + old? (Will Smith missed out!)

Excellent value. Came with digital codes and both blue ray and standard version. Would recommend

Independence Day Resurgence made a big mistake by not having Will Smith in it. Yes this is supposed to be like 20 to 25 years later but that doesn't mean Will Smith character could have been in it instead being that Will Smith didn't want be in it. They claimed to have killed his character off and had somebody else playing the adopted son from his girlfriend who joined the Airforce just like his stepfather did it. Most of the characters are still in this the gentleman who played the president in the first Independence Day. Jeff Goldblum who played the cable repairman / Tech genius. And if I remember correctly I don't remember his name but the guy who played data on Star Trek the Next Generation he was a scientist in the first Independence Day somehow they had him in the second one which makes no sense being that his character was killed. And Resurgence basically the same alien race now more advanced comes to reclaim earth like they did in the first one the only difference is this time Earth is kind of ready but not. I only give it three stars because there's just a lot that is messed up with it and some good stuff and CGI is always good but storyline comes in a lot better.

They should have worked a deal with Will Smith to make sure he was in the movie, still not a bad movie if you are sci-fi fan

Definitely not as good as the first but still worth watching since it has the same actors

After the first 4th of July a second one just unreal still a good action packed movie to watch

Another second rate sequel to a good movie. The first on was better with better actors. The plot is getting a little old

Great movie!!! Who doesn’t like Independence Day! It’s a shame will smith isn’t in this one...

Is it as good as the first...no. Is it better than I expected...definitely. My expectations were very low for this. I wasn't as concerned about Will Smith not being in it (perhaps that was for the best) and let's through most logic out of the window (I won't even get into the career change for a certain dancer). What you have is a fun alien invasion movie that won't change the world, but is fun way to spend 2 hours.

This movie is quite interesting ,it has its tales. Great action movies too, has a little bit of this and that. .

After 20 years Roland Emmerich gave us what we've been waiting for. It was great seeing many members of the original cast reunite. Liam Hemsworth and Jesse Usher brought new youth and a great addition to the film. Same basic storyline but lots of explosions and special effects. Go see it!
