I didn't make it to the theater to see this movie. When I noticed it was on sale during Black Friday, I had to purchase it. I think it would have been better with Will Smith in it.

The movie itself takes place 20 years later from the original, which tells you that the special effects are going to be better but some totally unreal scenes and acting that fair at best I give it an average rating

Not that bad, but not up to the first one, seems like they had a smaller budget, and the old mad scientist is a Jar-Jar. If you liked the first, this one's alright, but if you missed the first, miss this one.

This movie is another example of a sequel that isn't nearly as good as the first. While some of the action and effects are enjoyable, overall, I think I would have been better off sticking with the original only.

Good movie with special effects. The first movie was much better, so if you have not seen it, best to watch that one before viewing the sequel. Sequel could have had more plot to it, but it is still an okay movie.

This movie was not really a sequel. It stands alone as an exciting, sci-fi movie. I got it in 3D, and it was worth every penny! I highly recommend this movie. Get out the popcorn!

I would recommend this movie to everybody. It shows what we as people can do when we work together, not isolate ourselves from the rest of the world. Sign of our times.

This movie is okay. If you liked the first one then it kind of interesting to see where the characters ended up. Pop some corn and just enjoy it for what it is.

The subplot with Jeff Goldblum's father could have been cut completely out of the film. There was another character, I won't say who, that returns which was a bit ridiculous too. Great destruction effects though.

This movie was fantastic with how far they have come since the first invasion. Sometimes it pays to listen, they could of saved more people. This movie is definitely a must see.

A Christmas gift for my mother-in-law who has a very well-rounded taste in movies. Me, not so much. I honestly haven't seen it myself, but the price was great and she loved it.

Movie was not only action-filled but emphasized the importance of all people working together for the good of mankind with no concern for race, religion, nationality, gender, etc

I've been waiting for a long time for this movie and it was well worth the wait. Plus I have both movies in 4K. Judging the way the movie ended There will be Independence Day 3.

This movie is just as good as the original. granted, there are some parts in the movie that tried to hard to imitate the first, and made it cheesy, its still a very good movie.

Although Will Smith is not in this film, this is an excellent continuation of the original story line. I loved the graphics and love how they left it open for another film.

Anybody who loves sci-fi movies must purchase Independence Day because it was revolutionary for its time. I would definitely recommend this movie if you're into sci-fi movies.

Independence Day Resurgence is another great escapism film ; I enjoyed it for what it is, just fun stuff with aliens and monsters. The PQ of the UHD release is just amazing

I love going to best buy for any movie,phones,wires,computers and basically anything electronic..I never had a bad experience everything is always in great to excellent shape

This is an excellent sequel, I thought it would be terrible because honestly Will Smith wasn't in it, but it was another awesome movie, too bad I didn't view it at the theater

Basically, it's just an OK sequel. It was too-much like a video game, and not enough real drama. Acting was only so-so. Plot could have been better, and more dramatic with the ending. Still, glad I bought it.
