This film won't set the world on fire, but it is a lot of fun and serves the audience that loved the original. Also the 3D is solid and looks great.

Felt like I was watching the first movie. First was slightly better I'd say. But still a very entertaining movie, especially if you liked the first one.

I bought this movie because I loved the 1st one and I knew it would be perfect for my 4K system! I was right! The special effects are AMAZING!

Certainly not as good as the first ID4, that is a tough act to follow. It seems as if the studio was using this as a pilot to possibly build a franchise off the ID4 movies. The ending gave that away. However the blu ray quality was good and the digital surround sound format is great if you have a good sound system. Good to have in your blu ray collection for showing off your home theater but wait for it to be the bargain price range less than $10.

A lot of people said it sucked. I bought it anyway. It was slow in a couple places but I liked it a lot. The first one was the best but this one was ok.

This is an amazing Blu-ray movie. I recommend if you have a 4K TV you need to buy this movie. Picture quality is amazing. Not as great as the original.

Good sequel to a great movie. Great sound effects compared to the first movie. Surround sound has come a long way. I have 7.1 and it sounded fantastic.

I did enjoy watching this movie and it was well made for a 3D. I was a little disappointed though that they could not come up with a more original plot

After,many years of being overdue, this movie makes a great appearance. With the new CGI effects, it's even more special. Loved seeing all the old cast,but didn't even miss Will Smith. He was relevant in the first movie and did a great job, but his replacement did a fine job of bringing a fresh face portraying his sons character. The other new characters also did a great performance. Highly recommended

Good action sequences, great effects. Finally a good look at the aliens. Didnt have a strong story like the first, but other than that it was enjoyable.

I like sci-fi movies and saw this one in the theatre. It's one I knew I wanted to own when it came out. The extra features make it even more enjoyable.

Shares a faily similar storyline to the original with a few twists. If you're a fan of the original and looking for some nastalgia, this is a good buy.

The first was good with good actors. The characters were continued and that helped make the movie just as good as the first one. Great on blueray.

The story line of this movie isn't the best. The first Independence Day was better. If you're in it for the 4K viewing experience it's worth a watch

Despite a lot of negative review I really enjoyed this movie. Looks like they are going to try and do more sequels, which could be good if done right.

Considering the critic reviews bashing this movie, I was very surprised how good it was. Yes, Will Smith isn't in it, but it is still worth the watch.

Not as good as the original, but still pretty good. Just try to put the original film out of your mind when viewing it and it will be a better movie.

The first one by far was better, but was entertaining. We picked this up during Black Friday, so we also received a great price! Thank you Best Buy.

Best buy had a great deal for a box office hit movie in BR. Fan of the original, however, this second is still pretty entertaining.
