A sequel for sure but entertaining. Some new characters and material but with ties to the original.

Very entertaining although they used too much from the original Independence day Not enough action

While it is not quite as well-received as the original, this film is still quite entertaining in its own right. The steelbook is quite a nice collectable piece as well. It would be interesting to see a sequel to this. After all, the ending leavers us quite hanging. Take the fight to the enemy!

This is a good action movie but does not quite meet expectations from first movie. Worth watching.

But loved the first one as a kid, haven't heard much about it either which could be good or bad...
