Great movie following from the first part. It got bad reviews, but its actually good.

Its been 10 years since Will Smith starred in the last battle. Great action for 5 dollars.

Got this for the price and sweet steelbook to have both independence movies it’s worth it

If you were a fan of the original Independence Day then you'll definitely enjoy this movie. There's plenty of nostalgia as the audience is reintroduced to many of the original characters as well as new ones. The story picks up quickly as Earth is again threatened by invading aliens. Earth has been getting ready for just such an event, but they may not be ready enough. Great effects and fun throw backs make for a good ride.

This movie was pretty good for a sequel that came out like 20 years after the first one.

This was a good movie with most of the cast returning from the original movie. Unfortunately they couldn't get will smith back which was a really missed opportunity. The movie overall story was a great but the ending was a little over the top for my taste and a little expected. Also lots of cg effects unlike the first movie. Good ride for a decent price and continuation of the story.

So Independence Day: Resurgence does a good job of being a sequel, but the absence of Will Smith does kinda put a damper on the film. Regardless, there's plenty of sci-fi action, and lots of familiar faces we've remembered from the first film. Having bought the 3D bluray version, the film does look stellar in 3D. Overall, it is a good sci-fi alien movie, but again not the one we were all wanting.

A fun film. Not great but if its on sale not a bad buy if you just want to watch some pointless sci-fi.

We tried to get them to go home but they had plenty of time for a worthy takeover.

You should see the first film in the series before seeing this one, because this continues the story line in a future time. This is a good film, and as was the case the first time around, the aliens picked the wrong darn planet to mess with, and we humans are a lot more resourceful than they give us credit for! Lots of fun and a great test of your UHD and surround sound system.

I already have the Independence Day DVD and wanted the Ultra HD version of the sequel to show off my Ultra HD tv. When watching it, I did notice the vibrancy of the colors resulting from the HDR encoding but its not as eye popping as an Ultra HD Imax nature title. As to the movie itself, I thought it was fun and better than the reviews it got. I enjoyed seeing all the characters back (except Will Smith).

LFE channel is soooooo Low, rumbling. The 4K is also great for home theater.

Great 4th of July viewing. Continues the original story. Great graphics.

Great Movie. The steelbook art is awesome. Would recommend to any collector.

The original was one of my favorites growing up, so a sequel 20 years later was very nostalgic. There are several nods to the first film. I wish they could have included more of the original cast, like Constance, Mitchell, and Russell's children. Not having Will Smith does not detract from the enjoyable nature of the movie. I also liked the alternate timeline element. I hope the third movie gets made.
