    It's an over-the-top action movie just like its predecessor, however, it's not nearly as well executed. Plot holes abound in this movie. They usually don't bother me if the movie is distracting enough but these are rather glaring and pretty much impossible to ignore. With that being said, if you go into the movie with the right mindset there is enjoyment to be had.

    A decent blend of new and old faces/characters... there had to be some left around, right? I don't know if Will Smith opted out or not, but his character is remembered and even shown in a painting briefly. Overall this is a good movie. The effects weren't too overdone and are mostly believable (not counting the scene with the dad's boat). A touch of romance, compassion and plenty of action.

    I loved the original ID4. I was more than happy to drag my kids, who never saw the original to see this in IMAX 3D. It wasn't great but it was good and loads of fun. And that's what I go to the movies for, a good time...I really enjoyed the final act, battle with the Queen. If you like the genre you'll like this movie. And it has that balance of comedy & action just like the original.
