I liked this movie, i thought it was a really good sequel. Looking at the movie for what it is i think they did well with the options they had available, ok no Will Smith but that doesn't make the film any worse, it just allows the story line to be fleshed a little

It's not like the first movie. What I mean is, the characters appear to be not as believable as in the first. Maybe my expectations were set a little high due to the length we've waited for the sequel! All in all, I'll watch it again and see if I'm swayed either way!

Enjoyed the movie in the theater and was definitely glad to see a 4K release. The movie itself is what it is. Some people liked it, others didn't. It serves it's purpose as an escape for a few hours. The 4K version is a definite improvement over the blu ray version.

While the original Independence Day is one of my favorite movies, this was a far better than average updating of what had happened to the characters of the original. Plot is pretty predictable (another invasion, do WE survive?), but still executed well.

I liked the first ID4 a bunch and never saw this one in the theatre. But, I waiting to see it on Blu-Ray and was really impressed! Much better special effects than the first one. Love the steelbook case!

This is worth watching - especially in 4k. The story is good, the acting is alright, and the special effects are impressive. I still like the original, as Bill Pullman and Will Smith were excellent. Either way, you can't go wrong with this one.

I don't get the hate this movie got when it released. There is only one scene that should have been re-shot or ended up on the cutting room floor. Other than that a really solid movie that expands on the original hopefully to setup more in the future.

I had hesitations for this movie, as I liked the original but was worried it would go the route of Men In Black, where the other movies started to get totally ridiculous. However, this was actually a good movie and did the first justice.

this installment in the independence day series is not quite as good as the first one but it still was very entertaining . the cgi was top notch and the movie kept you on the edge of your seat.

As the title states some of the acting in this movie is cheesy. Maybe now I understand why Will Smith passed. Effects are good, decent cinematography but how sone of the cast made it into this production baffles me. Hint: must see the original movie first!

While Resuegence doesn't quite match up with the 1996 original, it's a decently fun popcorn movie. The real plus for this disc is the 4K demo material. If you have any interest in this type of movie, as well as a 4K HDR TV, definitely go with the 4K disc.

Disk and packaging were as expected - in good shape. A good movie when you just want to relax in front of the TV and enjoy. This sequel was as many sequels are, just not as good as the original. However, if I was given the choice, I would buy it again.

OK, so the movie is not as good as the original Independence Day, but it did a good job of following up on the original plot even without Will Smith at the helm. This action sci fi was awesome in 4K UHD HDR. Snapped it up for $17.99 before Black Friday.

Lost cable service and went out to buy a movie. Big Independence Fan and although similar to the first one, it was enjoyable enough. Would I watch it again, not really. The first was way better and I've watched it way too many times for my husband :-)

This is a predictable sequel to one of my favorite movies. You don't really have to watch it to know the plot. I don't think it did well in theaters for this reason. I probably wouldn't recommend it to friends.

The movie was fun to watch and has a lot of action. Pretty much everyone from the first movie is in it minus Will Smith. My wife loves both movies and it was entertaining to see her so excited. I would recommend for those who love action and sci-fi.

Not as good as the first movie but that's par for the course. Probably would've been better if they had Will Smith back with the rest of the returning cast. I like where they took the story after they beat the invasion in ID4.

I would say that the picture and sound would be the best reason to pick this movie up and to watch in 3D format. The movie itself is very much like the first one, but the first one being a better movie. Very nostalgic film with great visual effects.

This sequel to the original Independence Day movie was excellent with great 4K scenes. I enjoyed the returning actors but did miss Will Smith. The movie did seem rather long and drawn out, but I still enjoyed it and will watch it again.

It seems there are mixed reviews of this movie. I found it has plenty of action and the usual story line. While it does shadow the first Independence Day movie, which was stellar, it still provides enough entertainment to keep things interesting.
