Nice special effects and the movie looked great in 3d. Found the story line to be a bit goofy. You'll have to judge the movie for yourself. Mildly entertaining.

Independence Day II was not what I expected. Disappointing. But as always I did get a GREAT PRICE at Best Buy and my collection continues. Thank You Best Buy,

Independence Day Resurgence was definitely not as good as the first one. I was disappointed even with some of the original cast. It was very predictable.

Independence Day was a great movie. Independence Day Resurgence, not so much. It was as if they wrote one script and stretched it into 2 movies, except that the first one got a plot, storyline, character development and palpable action sequence. The 2nd one got what the first one expelled from it's digestive tract. I kept waiting for the movie to get going and it never happened for me. I will DEFINITELY read the movie reviews before making another movie purchase.

Not near as good as the first movie. If you want to watch it I would rent it not buy it. If you watch it once you probably won't want to watch it again

Not gonna lie - this movie is terrible. But if you're a sucker for spectacle and top shelf a/v like me, then it's not a bad buy if the price is right.

I am rating it so low because the movie is not that good, not because there is anything wrong with the product or quality. At least I got it on sale.

The original Independence Day is one of my favorite films of all time. It was fun & cheesy with great effects, the characters were great also & you cared. Now this sequel has NONE of the above & I was surprised it was even made. Even the characters you love are wasted. I even found to be quite boring with only ONE destruction sequence. I was bummed watching it & I traded it & never wanna see the movie again, but at least I can still enjoy the first movie.

Bad sequel don't watch it (unless you are a Disney Star Wars sucker in that case buy two DVDs!) Modern Hollywood does not know how to make a good movie and they hire the likes of Jar Jar Abrams to remake everything and make endless sequels. This is another movie that truly destroys its prequel and I will not be surprised if the next Independence day appears in 2022.

For those who may be thinking that you need this movie just because you own the first one...save your money! This is borderline one of the worst movies every made. I was at least hoping for some entertainment due to the graphics, etc...not even my kids enjoyed it. My 15 year old made the comment that he would rather sit through the movie Lincoln (which is a pretty good movie for those that like history) 3 straight times than to watch this movie again.

Took forever to get the sequel, and it wasn't worth the wait. Had a few good action sequences and some decent CGI. First one was definitely better.

I really didn't like this movie. I feel like it doesn't live up to it's expectations or to follow the Independence Day story.

The amount of time between films surprisingly didn't work in this film's favor. Boring, lackluster plot, action sequences, and performances.

Unlike Pt. 1 this film lacks the luster of a true story line as told by Will Smith. Though action-packed still falls short on story telling.

No problems with Best Buy or quality. The movie was just absolutely terrible. Bad acting... bad plot... and they had 20 years to write it!

Full of cliche's, very predicable and had absolute no story line. Just action and not really exciting at all. Fell asleep while watching.

I originally bought this on sale during Black Friday. I couldn't wait until it arrived to watch it so I rented it on Redbox. So glad I did because the movie was bad. It was cheesy, unbelievable and all around bad acting except for Hemsworth and Goldblum. They did a decent job. I also liked Pullman but didn't like his character this time around. So very different than the original. I promptly returned the movie when it arrived.

Twenty years was way too long of a delay to make a sequel, and you don't bring your primary star back?! This could have been better.
