Really seems to miss the spirit of the original.

Cookie cutter plotting, humor that consistently falls flat and an ending that just seems to be setting up a franchise that should never be allowed to continue based on the quality of this entry. Can't really recommend it. If you feel you MUST watch it, you might at least enjoy some decent sci-fi visuals now and then.
