I thought this movie was fun to watch. The special effects are well done and there are plenty of great action scenes, but you can't help but feel like something is missing. Maybe Will Smith? Who knows. Still a fun action sci-fi worth watching!

Pace could have been faster with a little less time spent on the interpersonal relationships (always a snooze for me). High point is Brent Spiner - can't wait for a sequel with Dr. Okun as the main character. Great effects and action.

The first Independence Day is one of my favorite movies, so I was excited and looking forward to seeing Resurgence. However, it was just okay. I did enjoy the movie, but there so much of the first one causing it to seem like a remake of the first movie and not a separate movie. If you are fan of Independence Day then it is a must watch, but don't expect much more in terms of story line .Old watchers of Independence Day might enjoy the movie more since they are seeing essentially the same movie again and you can really tell they made this to be a trilogy.

I am a huge fan of the original and was scared they would ruin it. Great, new, original story line. Even better special effects. It was great to see a lot of the original cast. It will not disappoint.

While not the best movie I've seen all year I did enjoy how they brought back several characters from the original. It kept the continuity strong through the film, boosting my enjoyment of the film

I saw and loved the first ID4, and though it took the makers nearly a century to releases the second installment, they apparently (and finally) did so with the intent of giving audiences a reason to grab some popcorn. Other than that, it kinda blew. No story really. The characters were, at best, "MEH". So, if I have to review this, I'd say, save it for when you have nothing else to see and you really want an honest-to-whatever popcorn flick to watch while simultaneously talking about what a crock this or that moment was.

This movie serves as a good follow-up to the classic. It checks all of the boxes for a good, fun, movie. 4K looks awesome too!

Good sequel to the original. Excellent special effects. Nice to see most of the original actors from the first film...

ID:R is a cheese-oozing action alien fest with little character development, but that is what it is supposed to be. If you are contemplating buying this movie then you are not looking for Schindler's List, Citizen Kane or a Krzysztof Kieslowski movie, you are looking for cheeky, mind-numbing and something to watch on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Good movie, well put together. The original was better, but this was an enjoyable movie.

I bought this movie for under $10 here at Best Buy. Price was right. I bought it for the 3D copy. Not the best movie. but not the worse. The first Independence Day was so much better. Wish this one would have been as good. I would only recommend if you wanted the 3D copy.

An easily enjoyable film if you can turn off you brain, following in its predecessors footsteps this is a better film than the criticisms make it out to be with the material its using to tell its story.. Def. worth a watch to any sci-fi fan at least once

I loved the first movie, but this one was good. Kinda cheesy and at points boring. Too many left opened story twists. Character acting was meh. But overall was a great watch and time passer-by. Recommended for a simple movie night.

The special effects were awesome but everything else was just okay. This movie could have been so much better. Didn't come close to the original. Maybe they will do a lot better with the third movie if there is one.

This sequel doesn't live up to the hype from the first movie yes it's a good story line but I feel like the director could have done a better job of making it more believable for the audience.
