This movie is really good, although the first one is better, you would enjoy watching this movie. If you have it in 4k then I would recommend watching this on any day of the week,

This Movie on the surface was good but left a lot of plot holes. The actors seemed to only halfway bee there

Still a fun movie to watch with homage to the original but the original was much better. Too bad Will Smith didn't reprise his lead role as that may have added a lot to the movie.

With the new technologies they learn from the first movie and the years of advancement they should have detected the invasion sooner. But than there would not have been the movie.

Special effects take over once again thats all you'll really want to see in a movie like this.. everything else is bah.. except for some former cast reunions- always welcome!

"Independence Day" is one of my go yo movies for elating my frame of mind. This sequel is an OK follow-up. It was worth the discounted price but I wouldn't pay full price for it.

Not as good as the original Independence Day, but the plot or storyline keeps the movie moving, actors are weak, Extra affects are good, looking forward to the next in the series

Not exactly what I expected. Gave little clue to ending while watching. Put on as background noise while doing other stuff. Beginning was. Then I finally sat down after watching for over half hr. Not many movies stop me from doing other things while watching. This one did right to the finish. Interesting that in the movie is setup for a sequel. NOT what you see in the ending. Overall a really good movie, a few flat spots, but good. A movie worth watching.

This follow-up to the first movie does not have the same magic as the first. It's okay I guess. I got it because it was really really inexpensive.

I don't usual agree with reviews and this no different. It's a real good movie that keeps you in the action. No it's not a classic like the original but sequels never really are

I like how they had a lot of the original characters in this film, but they could've explained about the ones they didn't have a little more. Its a cool concept. A lot of action.

When we saw movie at theater was disappointed; to much going on and difficult to understand audio, However, we purchased 4k version and enjoyed the movie the second time around.

The sequel is a good try but won't live up to the first. There is one person missing from the story and they didn't give any back story as to why they killed off the character.

The second movie titled "Resurgence" continues where the first movie left off. There are unfortunately few spectacular new types of events like the first but worth a second look

I really like the movie. I loved the first one and am very glad they finally did another. The only thing that would have made this better is if Will Smith would have been in it.

Really was hoping for a better sequel to the original. After waiting twenty years I I thought the story could have been better (not very believable). Saw this in the theatres and still decided to buy this movie. I believe the special effects are impressive. I liked the fact that a lot of the movie was shot during the day. This is one of those movies where you can actually see what's "chasing" you. If they had put as much time into the story as they did the effects, this would have been excellent. Just my 2 cents.

Although not as good as the original I did enjoy this movie. It has a good plot and even a little comic relief. Picture quality is wonderful on the new 4K Oppo and Sony 4K tv.

If you liked the first one, you will probably like this one. A little more Sci-fi, and I like how they showed the effects to the former president. A good, summer Sci-fi flick.

Quite surprised with this one. I was expecting a bigger connection to the previous movie. However, I was pleasantly surprised at all the action and special effects. Enjoyed it.

steel box cool, movie ok ,almost a story line exact copy of first movie . sure could have used Will Smith in this one . but a best buy blow out price for a blu ray.
