lot of computer graphics not that far fetched from original.did tie in to the first one as far as the characters went .missed will smith but still good flick

It's a good movie, just not as good as the first installment. We bought it because it completed the set. Hopefully, they will not come out with a third.

If you were a fan of the first movie, then this a great sequel. Wasn't sure about it, and it came out about the same time as other summer blockbusters. Timing is what hurt it at the box office, just to many great movies releasing at the same time. Hopefully, with strong blu-ray sales, a sequel will be made. It has been set to have a great continuing story line. Would love to see a continuation of that story line.

The first Independence Day was definitely a better over all movie, but this was still very entertaining. I definitely prefer watching it in 3D.

special effects were good the magic of the original was not achieved the story line was not as good as the original worth watching and having in your library

Where's Will? Good action filled movie, though would of loved to see Will Smith in the movie instead of just killing him off as he made the first one a hit.

i was so nervous about seeing a new Independence Day... why trample on such a classic!? but it wasnt bad! i wasnt blown away, but i left satisfied for sure!

This sequel to the Independence Day movie is pretty good, not great like the original,but still a fun watch. A handful of characters return and we are introduced to several interesting ones. The ending sets things up for a third in the series and i'm a bit on the fence about that.Where the original had a lot of heart ,this one doesn't. Still, the extras are impressive and worth the purchase vs seeing it on cable.

After reading some not so hot reviews, I found this picture to be quite entertaining. Some things were a little far fetched, but it is a fantasy after all.

Fun movie with action with a lot of the same characters as the originial. Pretty good sequal but original was still better. Still recommend seeing though...

I Like this series and at the same time miss "Will Smith" from this series. But the 4K video rocks and i played it in my Xbox One S. I love the experience.

As good as the 1st, glad to see that they used some of the same characters as they had in the 1st movie. Made it seem like a continuance vs just a new part.

wasn't expecting very much from a 20 year sequel. Figured this would've come out sooner. Happy I waited to watch it on blu ray rather than in the theatre.

Resurgence was a great sequel, which can be difficult to achieve. One thing that was great about this sequel is that they got many of the original actors. Although the plot was similar to the original, it felt more like chapter 2, kind of like Back to the Future Part 2, than a brand new story. Like the original it had a good mix of action, adventure, and comedy making it a fun movie, just like the original.

I am joyed watching the movie. The first one will always be my favorite. I hope they follow up with another story so that we can see the aliens destroyed

I had heard bad reviews and went in with low expectations. However, I was surprised at how much I actually liked it. Good movie and worth the two hours.

Independence Day Resurgence is a great action movie with stellar special effects. Some of the original characters are back with some great new additions. Jeff Goldbloom returns as the main character with the return of the aliens threatening the planet again. I loved watching it with HDR as the image popped off the screen. Exciting with great effects this movie is a great sequel to the first installment.

Hoped this sequel would meet up to the original. Was a good movie but didn't seem to have the different situations that held my peak interest as the first.

Very similar to the original version with some of the same characters. I enjoyed it as much as I did the first one. Lots of effects and things blowing up.

This film won't set the world on fire, but it is a lot of fun and serves the audience that loved the original. Also the 3D is solid and looks great.
