If you are familiar with the original film from the 90s, then this movie will not bring you anything new, other than everything is much bigger.

Good video but screen play wasn't different enough from original to be a great movie & I believe box office in theaters supports this premise.

Love my blue ray, awesome price for the item...extremely happy with it. Not as good as the 1st one but it is entertaining.

I thought it was well done. It's a good sequel, a nice transition from the first movie and leaves a nice little something for you at the end.

It was good some things I thought were going to be in it were not... liked that some original cast returned.. a plus that it's a steel book...

The family and I enjoyed the second movie as much as the first, including the older characters carried on from the first movie helped make it.

Compared to the first movie, you can see how special effects technology continues to improve. As with all special effects, sci-fi, fantasy, etc. movies, the purpose is to put you "right there", and this one does just that. Don't expect an all engrossed plot and critical acclaim; just a visually and audibly stunning movie to make your home theatre system look and sound it's best.

Not life changing, but a fun story and some cool visual effects to follow up the original. Nice to see so many original cast members return.

I was certainly skeptical, considering how amazing the first one was, but this did not disappoint. Highly recommended to fans of the original.

minus one unnecessary agenda forced into the storyline, I used the ff button skipping those parts and enjoyed the rest of the movie.

I always thought the first was a bit overrated due to its incredible cheese factor, but it still was a fun special effects movie. This movie's tone and cheese factor are about the same as first IMO, but unfortunately lacks any star quality that the first had at least. But still, there's a lot of entertaining special effects here and a unique premise of worldwide unity and vast technological advancement in 20 years. Looks awesome in 3D, too!

Amazingly, this sequel is better than I expected. Sure you know the humans will win but as SiFi goes, this was a fun movie to watch.

Don't go into this expecting a great story or character-driven film. It's all about the CGI and VFX. Enjoy for what it is and have some fun.

Loved the first Independence Day movie so went to see this one at the movies. My son wanted it for his own when it came out on DVD.

This isn't some mind blowing movie, but it is your typical summer blockbuster with a decent story, good visuals, and a thrill ride of action

Looks awesome, especially if you have a real UHD TV with real HDR capabilities. Movie itself could have been better, but still fun to watch.

Bought this to go with the first and original movie. Not quite as good but ok.Will watch at home but wouldn't pay to see in theaters again.

independence day resurgence, better than part 1 newer movies have different meaning kind of like from the future and it was cheap to buy.

And they are looking for some payback! After 20 years the Earth has become used to the idea that we are not alone but some how safe! Not So!
