The movie was good if you weren't expecting too much. The graphics lowered the movie quality since the aliens were so "unrealistic".

I know this movie has been panned for so many reasons but I really enjoyed it. The 4K UHD edition is the way to watch it as long as you have the right setup. The HDR in this film really does add some extended color and the Dolby Atmos soundtrack is worth the price of purchase on its own. Highly recommend for HT enthusiasts that have a awesome setup that they want to show off.

The first one was much better as with most sequels, but I didn't expect it to be better. It was good when not expecting it to be better.

Great casting. but I missed Will Smith, Brent Spinner still stealing the show. Liked the addition of one of the big ships on the ground.

Well, the whole movie was nothing more than a "warm-up" of the movies done before. Not bad but necessarily special.

Not as good as the first movie story wise however, the 3D graphics were awesome and hey, who doesn't love a good save the world story?

A pretty good return to Independence Day, although it is a bit long. 3d is fun in this one - especially with all of the flight battles.

had seen this in theaters as well and had fun watchin it! i bought the steelbook combo (of the prequel also) so that was a great plus!

Good, not great, sequel. That said, I bought it for $4 and it gave us a solid two hours of entertainment. Worth the money!

I got on a sale price on a black friday. And this movie has commentary and special features on blu-ray. and the dvd also comes with it.

I enjoyed the blu ray version as my player would not read the 4K discsort of a waste of money to buy the 3 disc pack (3D, 4K & Blu Ray)

I guess expecting a movie rivaling the original set me up for Disappointment. I still liked the movie and would recommend it to anyone.

We love Independence Day so we had to have the sequel. It's not quite as good as Independence Day but we had to have both movies.

Too bad they couldn't get Will Smith back in it but a lot of the main characters were back and the movie was still good enough to buy.

While I didn't find the writing as good in this movie as in the first one, I still thought this was an excellent movie with great CGI.

It was nice they finally made a second one but it's missing will smith. There was not enough room for his ego and the huge spaceships.

About the 4K wash it the 4K was awesome not watching it they got a little hokey and some of the plot line but was good other than that

This film in 3D was awesome. There probably should have never been a sequel in my opinion. However for what it is it was an enjoyable, with returning original cast and some new faces. The 3D effects are worth seeing and experiencing in this format. The surround mix was 5 star. i gave this review a 3 only because I don't like the sequel philosophy of Hollywood now a days. It truly should be a 4 on visual and sound.

The ratings for this movie were not that great but like most of the time they were wrong , we all enjoyed it and will watch it again .
