Good action sequences! On par with the first movie

nice... follow... up.. to... the... first... movie

good movie story could be better left ending open.

Surprisingly, it was entertaining and we liked it.

Love the new adventure and twist on the storyline.

The 4K on this is great the Atmos sound beautiful.

Great visuals but movie was flat in certain areas.

The new 8 foot HDMI cable replaced the two connected 6 foot cables on my LG 65 inch 3D 4K television to the Directv receiver. I now have the best picture that I can expect, and it's better than the previous picture.

The standard blu-ray release of ID4:R is solid, quality sound and picture and it looks great on 4k TV. The movie itself is about 15 years too late, but the nostalgia has some nice moments. Overall a decent release with the $4.99 sale price

So no its not as good first movie, but its not a bad movie, in fact i think its a great movie still. It has much more humor than i expected, and i liked the space feel the movie had. Its definitely worth a watch or two.

It's always hard for a sequel to match the original, especially when key stars do not return for it. If you can get past that aspect, it is a least worth a watch. This is one where the sequel does not live up to the original, but it is still entertaining.

I purchased this during the Black Friday event so I received a great price. But the movie is really good even compare to the original one. I'm an action blow it up type and this movie covers it. Great movie.

Forgetting the lack of Will Smith ,this film does have enough action to please anyone. Who saw the first film, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves seeing action films .sincerely yours Rafael Fernandez

At first hearing reviews I was thinking this movie would be a let down. No, it' holds up to the original continuing years later from the first one. Both movies together would make a good double feature on an afternoon

Don't expect a block buster movie. It is OK at best. There are a couple returning actors, but the overall premise is sorely lacking. Unless you are a fan of bad to mediocre sci-fi movies, or just extremely bored, then you may want to just skip this one.

If you were a big fan of the original this is worth a watch. But, the movie is predictable, story is weak and doesn't make much sense. Didn't need to make a sequel. Fun movie though if you like action flicks and want the nostalgia of the original film.

Really looked forward to the sequel of this movie since I loved the first one. Took a more future look jumping ahead further than I would have but a very enjoyable ride to escape daily life.

In my opinion, just because a movie is packed full of action, doesn't exactly make it a great movie. If you want a movie that keeps the kids attention, then this movie is it. On the other hand, if you want a movie that has good acting, scenes that make since, and doesn't steal entirely from the first movie, then you may want to keep looking. I don't like giving bad reviews, but if the movie was bad, then it is what it is. It felt like they had a piece of a script, but still tried to make a movie from it. Some actors overacted their roles, while others seem to not even care about theirs. I also noticed that there were scenes that seem like they were just making up stuff as they went along, and there was a lot of unnecessary pausing while they were talking, like they thought they said their line wrong, and was waiting for the director to say, "Cut". ...I mean, why even make the movie if it wasn't complete? Why steal SO MUCH from the first movie? Were they too lazy to come up with new ideas for the second movie? They had the same seven scenes from part one. (Not necessarily in this order): 1.) Convoy of people traveling down road, while we watch conflict in one vehicle 2.) Fighter jets fighting small UFO's under big UFO, while getting shot down 3.) One UFO gets hijacked, to deliver payload of explosives to mothership 4.) One person out of their mind, until it was time to sacrifice themself 5.) Person gets snatched up by an alien and used as a puppet to communicate 6.) Driving real fast over salt flats 7.) Major city destruction with lots of deaths ...I really hate that I didn't go to the movie to see it, so I could've saved myself from having to buy it. Maybe one day I'll watch it again, but that won't be anytime soon, if at all.

One wonders whether this movie was necessary this many years after the original, especially since the planned follow-up was scrapped. For what it is, though, it's not bad. The special features are more interesting than the film.
