Independence Day has been around for a few years now, but I never get tired of watching it. The cast is amazing. The special effects are awesome and it has non-stop action.

I fell asleep before they got in the planes, woke up just before the fat lady sang. The smart cracks were only good the first time, as was Randy Quaid's goofy role. Judd Hirsch played it smart and his role stood the test of time. The rest dated their parts.

The film did fairly well when it premiered 20 years ago, the conversion to 4k has just improved the film viewing. While the storyline remains the same, the increased resolution, detail highlights and improved soundtrack just makes the film simply better.
