Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the phenomenal picture quality and very good 4K quality of the Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the cardboard packaging. Overall, the visual presentation of the movies is well-received, but the packaging could be improved.

    POOR SEPECIAL EDITION EXECUTION

The movies are great but this is the worst execution of packaging I have even seen on such a special release. The outside cardboard case is cheap and came distorted upon arrival in un-padded shipping thin envelop. The shrink wrap was even torn. The design is also in bad taste. The inside metal cases with movies did not get damaged like the outside case but, again, the design is un-inspiring for a steelbook release of such great movies. Execution of special editions matter ! Better art work was expected. At a minimum, a new outside quality case shold be provided to purchasers. Paramount and Best Buy should be ashamed of this release execution.

The movies look great in 4K, but the packaging is subpar at best. The steelbooks look nice but the sleeve they come in is cardboard and looks super cheap. Decent set overall

The movies are excellent quality along with the steelbooks. The packaging for the steelbooks is cheap for the price. The Batman steelbooks were in a much nicer box

Horrible Experience Obtaining An All-Time Favorite

The Indy Trilogy is one of my all-time favorites just under LotR and possibly tied with the Star Wars OT. I was so excited that I pre-ordered the 4K Steelbook collection the first day it went live. I was upset to find that they lost my pre-order in the mail so they had to refund me and would not ship me another, but I did see it in-stock online so I ordered it again, and paid extra for 1-day shipping. I finalyl received it yesterday and it was shipped in just a flimsy plastic pop-bag and The collection Box was heavily damaged and the Steelbook for "Temple of Doom" arrived bent and heavily dented on the top. Enough so that the inside plastic broke off and it does not close properly. I'm really sad that BestBuy doesn't package these things a lot better especially as I buy quite a lot of Steelbooks here. I'm not going to bother to try and get a replacement for my damaged one (yet again) but hopefully any others interested in this collection can get it somewhere else if possible. Love these movies, I love collecting Steelbooks but I may have to shop at other sites for the time being.

Steel box is nice but the box that holds the disks is extremely cheap and flimsy. I expected premium packaging for the price !!!

For $100, one would expect the Steelbook of Indiana Jones to also have a Steelbook outer casing. That is not the case. This has been expected due to previous box sets in Steelbook. For example, all of the Rambo's, the two LOTR trilogy's, Batman and others. What a disappointment that this much is spent for a cardboard outer packaging. I would not recommend this and if BB decides to pull off something like this again, I will quit collecting these. Looking forward to getting my notification on a recall.

Beautiful films with a completely botched release.

Don’t get me wrong, these films have been beautifully remastered and take full advantage of their 4K resolution and HDR. This is easily the best they’ve ever looked and for that I’m extremely pleased. HOWEVER: this was a terrible release all around. The steel book art is mediocre, the cardboard “protective” box is flimsy and incredibly cheap, and they didn’t even include 1080p copies. On top of that, both the Best Buys closest to me didn’t even get the steelbooks in-store. I pre-ordered over a month before the release and my store just didn’t follow through. I ended up having to drive 40 miles to the next store available with them in stock. Couldn’t have them shipped either because Best Buy doesn’t package their shipped items well and steelbooks are almost always damaged that way. So to clarify again: the films themselves look absolutely stunning but everything else about this release is just horrid.

The steelbook finish is cheap, mine looked fine from the outside. When I opened it there a gloss stain in the front and small scratch on raiders steelbook. Last crusade had small scratches as well. This wasn't done by bestbuy or USPS. It's on paramount.

I love this franchise and the movies as a whole, however, the box is crap, why did they get a paper thin box, steel books were decent. Dropped the ball on this release.

Horrible packaging. WS shipped in a box that was too small and smooshed in there. Box set was damaged in shipping. I exchanged it at the store for a non damaged one. Outer box seems very flimsy.

The steelbooks and the 4K discs are fine. The slipcase is a thin cardboard piece of junk. After buying the very high quality Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Avengers, and Game of Thrones sets, I really expected better from Best Buy! This is a serious stain on your record for steelbook sets. At least now I know why we were not allowed to see detailed photos of the product from multiple angles. Shame on you Best Buy!!!
