With an all star cast I expected more. Incredibly slow story telling. I did enjoy the cinematography but that is not enough to keep your attention.

If you enjoyed the book you may like the movie, I thought both were quite boring although Juaqins acting is really good as always.

I dont know what went wrong with Paul Thomas Anderson but this film is his worst. I dont think he even knows what this movie is about. Not nearly as electrifying as the trailer for it. And this was the first time in a while that I bought the DVD over the bluray just to get it over with (I'm ocd and collect films by director even if I dont care for the film). Avoid unless you're a collector.

Ok movie at best, but the film is very slow and takes a while to get going. Should have been much better

What would have been a great ensemble cast is negated by too much inane dialogue. Very disappointed

Classic noir set in a colorful era. Lots of humor and satire, mostly appreciated by those of us who lived through the era. Those who didn't will still enjoy it, but may miss some of the references.

Unlike other stoner comedies this movie you have to pay a bit more attention to get all the details. I'd liken it to the Big Lebowski in that it may require multiple viewings to catch on.

If yo are not familiar with the tropes of film noir do not bother with this idiosyncratic film, it's a twisting, turning, darkly funny adaptation of Thomas Pynchon's novel of the same name. Great performances and a great adaptation. If you know what you are getting into, Inherent Vice is excellent.

This movie met my expectations. It was an entertaining story with interesting characters. Would recommend.

I loved this film, but you should know what PTA is all about when he directs just so you know what to expect :).

Great movie will become a cult classic. Diverse cast makes for interesting and entertaining movie.
