This is one of the best ways of interpreting the complex structures of the brain and limbic system for everyone to understand. The characters are great but the story is somewhat simplistic. Doesn't matter because it's Pixar which makes the dialogue interesting, the visuals beautiful and the whole thing work together well.

My kids range from 5-17, including a girl Riley's age. Everyone enjoyed it for different reasons. The exclusive features available with the digital HD copy - especially "Story of the Story,", "Paths to Pixar", and "The Misunderstood Art of Animation Film Editing" - are what made Best Buy the only place to get this movie!

The artwork on this latest batch of Pixar steels is every bit as beautiful as the films themselves. Vibrant colors, rich detail, and it tells you everything you need to know about the film just by looking at it. Any Pixar fan needs this on their shelf!

Although Inside Out is aimed at a younger target audience, the story is applicable to all of us. We bought this originally for our granddaughter, but enjoyed it just as much. Our Pastor even did a sermon series tying the characters in; leading us to wonder if we had control of our emotions, or if they controlled us?

I had heard good reviews about the movie and decided to buy it without seeing it. It was truly enjoyable for the whole family. the concept of how emotions are handled was well thought out, sometimes funny and sometimes a bit sad. Enjoyed the inclusion of emotions for the parents and pets along with the primary character.

A definite upgrade in image from the blu-ray edition. The characters shine brighter and their actions are smoother. Earlier disney 4k releases may have been underwhelming, but this is definitely worth the upgrade. Plus the steelbook looks fantastic.

Strong presentation on the frustrations and mood swings by a young intelligent girl facing a major disruption in her universe when the family relocated from the upper midwest to San Francisco. A total upheaval. the movie the trials and travails of adapting to a new and alien environment is explored through the prism of the teenage mind. GOOD FOR TEENAGERS AND ADULTS! Considering how difficult it is to for adults to communicate with teenagers (at least myself included), this is a template for understanding the emotional travails and roller coaster of a burgeoning young teenage mind.

We saw this in the theater and knew it would be one that we would add to our collection as soon as it came out on dvd/blu ray. It is one that my husband and I enjoy watching with our 3 and 6 year old. It makes you think on the adult level and yet is still cute and fun for my kids to watch! I highly recommend this movie!

You can't help but admire the creative imaginations behind this story. It has lots of appeal for all ages. It's funny and touching and makes you think about your own emotions. As for the Blu-ray, it didn't disappoint either. The 3D effect is subtle for the most part, but that's not a bad thing. I highly recommend this!

My kid loves it for the visuals and silly action, but this movie is a deep look into accepting the emotions within us, even when we view some as negative. It deals a lot with the confusing emotions of growing up, and how your simple emotions will give way to much more complex ones. The voice cast is great in this movie.

Without any pun intended this movie is an emotional roller-coaster. It is undoubtedly funny and will please the entire family. I also think it is a great look into how people grow emotionally. How we develop the ability to handle complex emotions. You will laugh, cry, and even reminisce a little when you see this movie.

This is one that I didn't know much about when I bought it. I had heard good things. I was bowled over by the 'message' this movie has for everyone, especially youngsters. It shows the importance of understanding emotions. The characters are all easy to relate to, making the story very important to everyone!

I bought this movie for my two younger daughters but my sons age 10 and Age 12 loved it also. A very funny movie with a message. Good to show kids how to deal with sadness and adversity in life. I bought it as a birthday gift for my daughter's friend and her family loved it also. So yes I would recommend this movie.

We've loved this movie since we first saw it in the theater, and we've seen it twice since we bought the Blu-Ray. Fascinating and fun look into how the brain works! My understanding is they consulted a group of experts to make the science bit as sound as possible. Hard (but not impossible) to go wrong with Pixar!

Another one of many great Pixar movies. And again, one that is more for adults than kids, but still great for the whole family. Amy Poehler brings as much energy to her character as she does on television. Sadness is the real star though...one of the best characters EVER. See this movie. One of the year's best.

I bought it on sale, having never seen it (is only heard good things). I don't regret not seeing it in theaters (I don't feel it needed the large screen), but I absolutely fell in love with this movie. I've watched it 3 times since purchasing, and showed it to as many people, trying to keep spreading the word.

We saw this one in the theater and enjoyed the Blu-ray very much. My youngest still cried when one of the characters sacrificed his life for the greater good. Not unlike so many great movies before, the lesson to be sacrificial and give to another is timeless. Enjoy this with your children over and over again!

This is Best Buy exclusive. No matter what version you get, the movie is so good you have to have it in your collection. I have about 5 different emotions going on watching this movie lol....I watch lots of animation and anime and this is easily easily one of my highest recommendation to anyone. Is that good.

purchase was as expected, looks great. The digital copy is a 4k version that is redeemable through Movies Anywhere or Vudu. As of right now, Apple does not redeem 4k Disney movies in 4k, only in HD, so make sure to redeem through MA/Vudu

We bought this because my grade-school kiddo had seen & heard a lot about the movie. We all (me, kiddo, ex) loved it. It's a fantastic ensemble cast, and the movie's main messages about feelings and the value of all of our emotions is powerful... and perhaps necessary in our happiness-via-consumption culture.
