The insignia microwave was a good purchase but was small and it takes alot longer for things to heat up and cook. But overall, it was a good purchase.

Yes this is a low power microwave, but dorms will not allow higher wattage units. It takes longer to cook on lower power, but the unit works correctly and even has a turntable. Our son is very happy with the microwave and he is within dorm compliance for wattage.

It works great, however, after a couple of months I'm noticing a few issues sometimes, especially when in a bowl it doesn't seem to warm up the food properly

Every time I push the button I feel attached piece will broke. This is my feeling, but since I used it so far so good.
