Perfect size, perfect features for a small space. It has all the features....with less power than our very large over the cooktop has. Heats small plates fine. Also, the Best Buy price was excellent. Would certainly recommend.

My friend needed a small microwave for a small kitchen. This microwave fit perfectly and gets the job done. It fits a standard sized dinner plate. She mostly uses it for reheating and not cooking food, so it works perfectly fine.

Bought this microwave in August 2020 and with gentle use it stopped working in May 2022 (loud buzzing and burning plastic smell without heating the food). I saw Insignia responded to some previous comments and tried to contact them though the link they provided, but their contact page did not allow me to submit my message and I saw others on this page were also having difficulty connecting with them. Before it broke, it was not very powerful, but sufficient for my needs and met my (low) expectations. The plastic on the buttons are worn/peeling on the numbers I pressed normally, but the express cook and +30sec feature were useful. Along the edges on the inside there is a tiny gap where rust or food particles gather, so it required regular cleaning. I'm just very disappointed in how quickly it stopped working and the difficulty in reaching customer support.

For its size, does job needed for. Temporary until we get our larger, very expensive, Microwave replaced or repaired.

Needed a temporary microwave for half a year while the built-in microwave I ordered was backordered. Keep in mind that it's a lower wattage compact microwave so some things will require a little more time to properly heat up. Works really great, especially for the price.
