Kinda expensive for the size and features but overall not a bad choice

It takes forever for food to heat up. Waste of money

It stop heating up the food in less than six months.

I've had to return 2 of these within 1 years time.

Perfect for small kitchens and apartments. I bought this for my niece and her first new apartment and she loves it. She says that it warms up food nice and evenly. It looks sharp and modern and best of all it makes popcorn perfectly.

It works fine just small. A regular plate is too big to put in and still allow it to spin. I definitely expected it to be bigger for the price.

I couldn't find a better deal for this price. If you're looking for an affordable counter top microwave, this is one is a good bet. It looks nice and works perfectly fine. I've had it for a few months now with no issues.

This microwave does not heat well at all. We have to double or triple the time when heating and cooking

Great product that lives up to its promise. Ideal application for cramped quarters like my camper compartments. Although only rated at 700w out performed larger major brand ovens that pailed by comparison. Cooks popcorn easily and predictably. Accommodates full size dinner plates with food covers. If your home is on wheels, place the glass carousel in a protective wrap when traveling. Well designed with usefull presets as well as manual controls.

I just purchased this microwave after my other one quit after years of service. I needed a small oven and this works just as well or better than my old one of similar size. My only complaint is that the interior is slightly reduced, so I have to buy a smaller plate cover. Other than that, I think this is a good value, and I hope it lasts as long as my other ones!

Perfect size for my office. Best for heating frozen meals and reheating left overs. Small but convenient and the foot print is perfect. Have to remember it's only 700 watts so may take a little more time then you're used to.

I am 69 and NEVER owned or used a microwave in my life. I bought this model because it is compact in size and would fit into my very tiny studio kitchen. I also needed a microwave because there is currently a gas leak in my apartment building and all tenants will not be able to use their stoves for months. I also currently get Meals on Wheels which is why I now currently needed a microwave to heat up these meals for dinner and avoid having to eat out now. I actually had to call a friend to help me out in how to even open up the door. As I did read the User Manual and there was NO mention on that at all. I guess it was just assumed everyone would know how--but not me. The button to open up the door is the white rectangular box on the right bottom of this microwave. I never even thought it was a button and just part of the bottom trim. I also called Insignia customer service as I had other questions such as not seeing the light brown mica inside the microwave as it was stated as being very important not to remove that brown mica. Which is one of the reasons I am giving this item only 4 stars as the person I spoke with spoke very quickly, had a strong French accent so I couldnt understand her and it was almost impossible to communicate with her. Plus she just told me not to worry. The same thing happened when I inquired about using my dinner plates because they are larger than the 10" turntable (3/4" larger). It just got to the point that I thanked her and hung up and called my social worker who came over to help me out as I was very upset by that time. She pointed out that the light brown mica is the trim on my turntable which reassured me on that point and also relieved me to find out that my dinner plates would work although they are somewhat larger than the turntable as the door closes easily. We even tested it out and put the dinner plate on the turntable and heated the microwave for 1 minute and it worked fine. BUT the main reason for giving this item only 4 stars is the wattage. Last night I heated up my chicken dinner from Meals on Wheels for 3 minutes as per the directions and it was not cooked well. It was edible to eat but tough and very watery--just very different from when I use my stove. Tonight I will try 5 or 6 minutes to compensate for this low wattage and see if there is now a difference. Other than those 2 complaints I am very pleased with this purchase, It's white color and compact size looks very attractive in my small kitchen.
