Dead in less than a year

It is now less than a year since gifted and the microwave is dead. According to Best Buys and the company the warranty is from date purchased even if not given as a gift until after that date, so out of luck. Microwave was not used over the summer so basically 9 months of limited use and it is dead- do not purchase this Best Buy brand microwave.
