Bought 2 of these, one for my son and one for my daughter. Both live in apartments where counter space is a premium. Many that I looked at were just too small and others too large. This one seemed to be the right size. It’s got all the standard features but then some that the others didn’t have. They have used them for over a year now with no problems. And since it’s a BB brand, it was reasonably priced especially when on sale.

The Insignia 0.9 Cubic Feet Compact Microwave works very well. It’s the best compact size, and it’s not noisy. We’re pleased with its excellent performance.

A nice looking microwave. We bought it after moving into a temporary apartment that didn't include a microwave. This unit was a good choice because it's small, relatively quiet, and cooks evenly.

Three and a half years ago we bought an LG - NeoChef 1.5 Cu. Ft. Mid-Size Microwave with "Smart inverter magnatron 10 year warranty." It broke after 3 years. The warranty? Oh, sure. IF you had your microwave plugged into a dedicated outlet soley for your microwave. Who gets an electrician to make a dedicated outlet for your microwave? I could understand doing that if this were a built in, but it's not. December of 2020 the NeoChef broke, so we bought a Panasonic - 1.3 Cu. Ft. Microwave with Sensor Cooking. The wattage was a little less, which was good because the LG tended to trip the breaker sometimes. This time I got the 4 year extended warranty BECAUSE of the LG experience. Guess what? This one broke too. After only 8 months it started doing strange things. And the interior is dark grey, which makes it hard to see, especially with its dim light. Cooking time is in 5 second increments, so if you have something that happens to be perfect at 22 seconds, too bad. It's got to be 20 or 25. It's in the shop. While your microwave is in the shop, what are you supposed to do? Heat your food on the stovetop like the ancient days? Ain't nobody got time for that. To tide us over, we bought this small cheaper Insignia microwave. Wow, it was UNDER $70. It's been GREAT. So great, we might not use the Panasonic when it's repaired. This Insignia may not have any bells or whistles, but it's such a relieving break from trendy appliances which try too hard to be on the cutting edge. Pros: #1 - It's white on the inside. That makes it easier to see your food, easier to see any splatters or spills to be cleaned up. I had to use a flashlight to clean the Panasonic. #2 - You can actually choose odd cook time length. Even if it's one second. #3 - The quick starts are really actually quick starts! It may sound like a novel idea, but when you hit the 1 min button, it actually turns on right away. That frustrated the heck out of me with the Panasonic. You'd have to hit Quick, then Start. That's not quick. #4 - The "all done" beep doesn't play again after a couple of mins. I know it's supposedly good to have a reminder, but the LG irritated me when it would keep playing its reminder every few minutes. I'm not sure if it ever gives up. #5 - The "all done" beep is a beep. Not a song, not fancy. I like that. The LG song ditty drove us crazy. And it wouldn't let us disable it. #6 - Lower wattage. Only 900 watts, and it seems to perform just as well as the more powerful microwaves we've had in this past year. #7 - Better venting than the Panasonic. The Panasonic had some major moisture build up inside the oven. This Insignia seems to do a better job. Cons: #1 - The "All done" beep doesn't stop when you open the door. A little irritating, but pretty minor compared. #2 - Kinda small. Yeah, but we wanted to get a small one, so it's our own fault. Still fits a large-ish dinner plate. #3 - The open door button is a little small. I wish it didn't have a button. I like the kind that you just pull to open. There you have it. The cons are very minor. I really like this microwave!!

This microwave gets the job done. It is compact so it works well for for small countertop spies. And it is relatively quiet. The quality of the microwave, however, feels low-end. The door closes with a loud clunk and the materials don’t feel too solid.

This is my second counter top microwave from Best Buy. The first one lasted almost 40 years so if this one does even half as well that’s all I can ask! It is compact overall for the capacity of the heating chamber. It is a small unit and would be ideal for a dorm, apartment, or a single person. The controls are clearly marked and easy to read, and most importantly, it heats my food fast and well. I’m satisfied with my purchase.

It's a small microwave perfect for elicit placement in classrooms where students won't take notice. I use this for my lunches and such, and it JUST fits a single large plate or several fat kid goodies to aid in not screaming at children, requiring apologies for when you were hangry. My 4 stars are specific to the buttons, because you have to press hard, and the plastic covers wore through really quickly. I now have blistering holes where buttons should be, though the digits are still legible. If you are looking for something small and inconspicuous for a small space, this is a good choice. You may need to look into a locking system to keep kids out, because they will make a mess and pretend like it wasn't them. Children....
