Never used it's other functions {re-heat, deforst, weight, popcorn) so I have no idea if they work well or not. Kinda don't like it's quick start method where pressing a number starts the microwave for that time so if I want to heat something for 1:30 seconds, I'll have to set the timer and then hit the buttons, rather than hitting "1", "3" and "0" for 1:30.

It is a tremendous value and gives us ample room for us heat up a meal or pop some popcorn. This microwave also has a safety trigger on the door to keep kids from grabbing hot dishes. That was a wonderful addition. You get a lot for your money.

This Insignia unit heats food very evenly and much more quickly than I had even hoped for. I am very satisfied with this microwave. It is also whisper quiet.

Only dig I can take at it is the handle for the door has a latch like a gasoline nozzle. You have to depress the latch in order to get it open. I am waiting for that to break. So far, so good.

Forgot to tell Dad how it opens

This one even has a child lock so there is a certain way you must lift up on the handle to open. I told and showed my kids but forgot to tell my husband. It wasn't till i heard him in the kitchen yelling and cussing at the microwave because he couldn't open it to get his dinner out. So, YES, it's child proof!
