700 watts does not make an effective microwave

Standard is 1100 watts-- even the next model up is 900 watts which would have been better. I learned this all after the fact (first time microwave buyer), So BEWARE and spend the extra $ to get the 900 or 1100 watts model.

This worked fine for the week we used it, but I could not get over a smell that often came from it. I have worked with electronics much of my life and the smell was just like the one an electrical component failing smells like. Since it hadn't (yet) died and we had used it I decided to keep it rather than go through the trouble of trying to return it for the $90 or so we paid for it.

Unbelievable the reviews were true. Worked great in the beginning....now it won't get my water hot for my morning coffee! Doesn't get anything warm or hot.
