    Very poor quality. This thing sounds like a car engine that has lost its muffler it bangs and shakes when I turn it on

    Purchased in November 2023. It is May 2025 and the power level button and time cook button are not working. I WOULD NOT recommend insignia microwaves to others nor will I buy another in this brand.

    I heard a noise coming from the kitchen, and it had turned on by itself! Happened multiple times! Apparently this keeps happening. Unacceptable, now it’s out of warranty, and I paid much less for it than it apparently is listed now, so buying a new one is silly. Even on sale, it’s more expensive. Yet it’s cheap as crap. Avoid and buy name brand. Waste of money.

    I own 4 Insignia televisions & an Insignia all-in-one Stereo system. I am very pleased with all of them....so, I ordered this Insignia Microwave online. I've had it less than a week and it's already making a knocking noise for the entire time it's in use. Since I bought on-line, I doubt that I can return it to the nearest BEST BUY store located 30 miles away in Branson. MO. I would shy away from this product and pay a few dollars more for a Toshiba.

    Shoddy construction, insufficient warranty

    Door broke literally one week after warranty expired. Literally, exactly, 7 days after end of warranty. During that year the microwave was used, perhaps 15 times maximum. Unfortunate that plastic parts were used in critical safety pieces such as door latches.

    Shuts down when there's too much steam.

    I really like this microwave but when there's to much steam inside of it, it cuts off. Literally shuts down with no power whatsoever!

    You get what you paid for. It's cheap for a reason. 1=1min, 2=2min, etc. by default. it's inconvenience if you want 45sec since you have to switch setting. Lasted 1 year. Microwave doesn't stop after counts down to "0". Worst, it would sporadically runs by itself with "0" timer then stops and runs again. Could I say "ghosted"? When it worked out was ok.

    Didn't last 2 years! I used this maybe 1-2 times a week, and generally for 2 minutes or less each time. Last night it started randomly turning on, which is probably related to the logic board. Given the sporadic use, failing in such a short time is just not acceptable. Go for a better brand!

    I bought this microwave in Spring 2022. Barely 2.5 years later, it has failed. Last night/today it has started to randomly turn on and off by itself. This has happened to others with this microwave. I now plan to purchase a non Best Buy microwave with the 4 year protection plan.

    Really considering returning this item. Though it states it is 1000 watts, it takes much longer to heat things than the 1100 watt microwave it replaced. Coffe that took 1 minute to heat in the old microwave now takes 1:40. Popcorn takes so long that the popped kernels burn before the unpopped ones reach "popping temperature". I am very disappointed with this purchase. The buttons are a bit difficult to press - you've really got to push them center and hard. I thought I'd get away spending a little less and ended up getting burned.

    Bought this as a gift and had it delivered. Drove to an elderly relatives home 3 hours away and left. Neighbor called me later. Has no power at all. Does nothing. Changed outlets, floors, and nothing. guess I will drive another 3 hours each way to get something different. Don't buy it.
