Purchased just before Thanksgiving. It's an excellent size and power level, with a relatively intuitive menu. The only thing that's not intuitive is the mechanism to open the door. You lift up on a latch in the door handle. This is not the way most microwave ovens open. But it's not hard to adjust your muscle memory. I don't use the settings for specific foods nor the temperature sensor, and can't comment on how well they work.

When our 10-year-old microwave finally gave up the ghost, we needed a replacement quickly. Best Buy had a great selection, and we settled on this unit and we are very pleased. The controls are very intuitive, the microwave runs so quietly you hardly know it's running, and it works well.

Nice high powered microwave at a good price. It's easy to use, and even the clock is simple to set. It's also big enough to put all kinds of stuff in- like the half a ham or turkey so a "starving" pup doesn't snatch it off the counter! No complaints, would recommend.

Nice Microwave, quiet, the power/watts was surprisingly more than our last microwave and things heat up and quickly. The price was a great deal for this size microwave and watts and I love the pull up release lock - it doesn’t take much to get use to. I would definitely recommend to someone and purchase again.

Works very well and a great price! The door safety door release is is a little annoying at first,but after a weeks use it became normal and no problem. Would buy again providing it's trouble free for a reasonable time frame (a minimum of 5 years)!

I feel good about this purchase because I got it for $185 including a 4-yr extended warranty, which is a way better deal than my Panasonic Inverter which cost A LOT more and up and died after 3 short years. Most of the functionality is identical to the Panasonic. This is also a lot more powerful than the Panasonic (which actually had higher wattage), so I now have to lower my power levels when I cook. It doesn't cook as evenly as the Panasonic, and the bottoms of my cookware really heat up. And yes, the door latch is slightly annoying even after 4 weeks of use. This is advertised as the same 1.6 cubic feet as my (dead) Panasonic, but the interior and plate are definitely smaller. This is not a problem for my needs. The exterior dimensions are the same. The control panel and black detailing show fingeprints more than the Panasonic. Bottom line, I liked my Panasonic more, but the expense of the Panasonic plus its crappy warranty, its short life, and lousy customer service...downsides that many other reviewers have also documented...these all made buying the Insignia a no-brainer. I'm still getting used to it, but it definitely does the job. I love that it's quieter. I love that you can turn off the beeps, And I love that you can turn off the display.

Quiet and works well! The handle is up top inside the handle...a convenient feature.

This microwave is great. It's easy to operate and has a large capacity and great power. It does have a large footprint so check the space where you plan to use it. Fits my space well and just what I needed.

Microwave is has plenty of room for bowls and glassware. I also like how easy and straightforward it is to use different modes and to mute the microwave button input sounds.

This was a gfit for my daughter and son in law for their new apartment. I read all the reviews before purchasing and was deciding between this one and a smaller one ((1.1 cu ft). I ultimately decided to get this one- because of the sensor cooking technology. Turns out that is the very thing they love about it! Very nice looking microwave with a large selection of cooking options. Very happy this full-sized microwave purchase. Got it on sale, so even better!

Microwave works fine. It is much stronger in wattage than my previous one and I love it. Some of the directions for operating are a bit confusing but I am sure with practice I will get it down pat. I am keeping the direction booklet handy.
