In light of all the five star reviews, I probably need to explain my three star rating. If this were my first (and only) one of these microwaves, I probably would have given it five stars as well, because I really do like it. However, this is my third one of these microwaves after having felt the need to exchange the first two. While very quiet initially, within two weeks of purchasing the first microwave, it started making a rattling noise that was quite pronounced and over which I seemed to have no control - nothing I did seemed to make any difference. So, I exchanged it for another one. The second microwave was, again, very quiet to begin with, but we soon noticed that it started to rattle as well practically every time it was used, although this could be addressed by reaching into the microwave and jiggling the turntable or adjusting whatever was sitting on it - I don't remember any other microwave we've had prior to this Insignia model that was so sensitive to how the turntable or item upon it was positioned. Grew tired of this routine after about three weeks and, again, exchanged that microwave for another one. Happily, the third time seems to be the charm as, after about a month, the current microwave continues to be very quiet and, hopefully, that will continue to be the case. So, I've basically taken off one star in my rating for each exchange. I do want to note that the Best Buy staff was very good about handling the two exchanges (I could be wrong, but my perception was that they didn't seem terribly surprised regarding the noise issues I'd been experiencing). However, I feel I should add that, fortunately, I happen to have a Best Buy Total Membership which has a more liberal 60 day return/exchange window rather than the standard 15 day window. Without that, I'm not sure what my exchange experience might have been.

I like this microwave door as my son has previously broken the push to open ones, and this has a handle with a release button that I think will last longer. it is a good size for items I normally microwave. I am still getting use to the 1200 wats cooking in less time than my old 1000 wats. Got this one delivered 11-9 after the last one just stopped working.

It works well. Different from my old(20+y.o. ) Sharp, so a bit of a learning curve, but it has done everything I expected. I haven't tried my microwave peanut brittle in it yet, but I have until next Christmas to figure it out. I like it, and the price was right.

Microwave works fine. It is much stronger in wattage than my previous one and I love it. Some of the directions for operating are a bit confusing but I am sure with practice I will get it down pat. I am keeping the direction booklet handy.

Most microwaves have a similar look, function, and performance, so why pay more for the name on the front? (They are all probably made by Midea anyway.) This Insignia microwave looks nice, works well, and feels like reasonable quality.

Great microwave, nice size, works well out of the box

Very happy with this purchase. Our older microwave served its purpose well. But this exceeded my expectations and hopes. It is easy to set up, it is well designed, easy to use and is quieter than I thought possible. Very easy to clean both internal and external. I was a little concerned about the legally required "latch on the handle" but found it to be easy to use and not stiff at all. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a good mid-size countertop appliance for their kitchen. Also perfect for short-term rentals.

I only just got this oven so I can't speak to longevity, but so far it's great. I love the features like 3 memory settings, you can turn the display and the sound on or off, and of course the inverter. The instructions for these ARE in the book, contrary to some reviews.

Works great! No issues. It is a little different in that you have to lift up on a handle before pulling the door open, but that is not too bad.

I received 2 defective ones, before finally getting a good one on the 3rd try. I’ve only had it about a week but so far it’s great. It’s so much quieter when running than my last microwave that it replaced. it heats/cooks everything perfectly.

I really am impressed with this microwave. Its has all the features I want, plus I love how quiet it is while running. It also has the option to mute the buttons, which is useful for late night cooking in my household. The only downside for me is it affects Bluetooth signals while running, something I've never had a problem with before

I’m so satisfied with this new microwave. Was getting sick of using a 1000 watt when most of the frozen food says 1200. Now this one is 1400 so had to experiment how much time could be saved but overall I like it a lot. Also very easy to use with lots of great settings

The microwave looks great on our counter. It has a nice size to fit most things we want to heat up. The door has a safety lock to keep small kids from putting things into the microwave. It is easy to clean.

I’ve been using this microwave for a few weeks now, and it’s easily the best value for the price. I was looking for something that didn't break the bank but still had enough power to heat food evenly, and this delivers. If you want a dependable, no-frills microwave that works great every single time, I highly recommend this one. Definitely worth the purchase!

This microwave works very well. I do not care for the door latch. Right out of the box it was hard to get closed (the light inside stayed lit). As we used it that improved. It is a very good value. Overall I would recommend it.
