I’ve been using it almost daily for 6 years, and it still works great!

    Great Microwave for the price

This micro is packed full of useful features and has a lot of room and power for the price. The 'sensor reheat' button is my favorite feature. I buy portioned meals from a preparation service, and this oven reheats them perfectly using this feature. I couldn't ask for a better oven for what I use it for.

    Misleading Sensor abilities

Popcorn popping is not a sensor mode despite being in that area on the control panel and even circled as such in the manual. It's limited to 3 sizes, so if your packages of popcorn don't match, expect burnt popcorn or a lot of leftover kernels.

It was good - while it lasted 5.5 months!

I bought this microwave because it was competitively pried against another model I saw that also promoted "inverter" technology. The microwave is quiet, and it works well - when it was alive. Only had the Microwave since end of July 2018 and it died last night. WHEN IT WORKED - it was okay. I still felt like there were uneven heated spots but figured it just "came with the territory." Having owned a famous Japanese branded Inverter technology microwave before, I had high hopes. I couldn't have been more disappointed. Its nice, it's quiet and easy to use. However, a few days ago, I smelled a "burn" odor coming from the microwave, but figured it was probably food that was over heated. I am guessing it really must have been the microwave I smelled, because last night, I microwaved a cup of water and the microwave "stopped" and "shut off" without warning. Well, I went to microwave the water some more and then within seconds, the display "BLACKED OUT" and the microwave was unresponsive. That's disappointing! Now it is dead, won't turn on, and switching to another outlet was no help. Overall, I am sure its a good product, but based solely on this experience, 5. 5months is a short life span for a microwave.

    Junk.

Worked like a dream until a couple weeks after the one year warranty expired. Last week it started sparking and making a loud zapping sound. The inside of the unit now has burn marks in it and insignia advised me not to use it, due to safety issues. They advised me that best buy would replace it, even though it is out of warranty, because it is a defective unit, but best buy refused to replace it. Now I have a dangerous, faulty microwave that I can't replace and can't use. Will never buy a microwave from best buy or insignia again.
