This seems to be a cable that is not junk. Insignia cables have been recommended by Best Buy employees before and they have held up well. So far (about a month) this one has done the same. Cheap cables don't always las that long. So, I'll go ahead and recommend this one. I don't recall, but I don't think it was the most expensive...we are slowing moving out of the world of lightning connectors, so I didn't want to spend any more than I had to, but I didn't want junk either. It could be years yet before we dump that iPad.
