I was little doubtful that may be it will heat up the device but charging is very fast and no issues with the gadgets. Also the length is a great asset if your port is far and very useful for charging in the car especially for the backseat passengers

A Better Buy Than an Apple® Branded Cord

The Insignia™ brand was recommended by a Best Buy sales associate, and at first glance seem to be an excellent purchase. The cords themselves are covered in a woven material, not simply plastic-clad and are extremely flexible with very secure plug ends. As a bonus, the cost for a 2-pack is far less than a single Apple® branded cord. As for longevity we'll have to wait and see, but our sales associate said he purchased these instead on Apple and has never had an issue after years of use - so we have high hopes they will last.
