I wish there was a lid light like the 5cuft version has. On the other hand the 5cuft blue "power on" indicator on the outside is faint and hard to see. On this one it is bright and easy to see. One thing of note: If you open the lid for a few seconds then close it then try to open it again right away there is a strong vacuum that prevents you from opening the lid again so soon. I am afraid to pull on the lid harder for fear of damaging the seal. The solution: Wait about 20 to 25 sec and the vacuum equalizes and you can open the lid again easily.

The freezer is bigger then what I was looking for, but couldn’t pass on it due to the great price. On top of that, it’s a great big comfortable freezer.

I plugged it in, filled it with meat and it froze it right up. From purchase to home was 1 hour. Its great to have meat in the freezer
