It is not... not at all. The compressor gives off a loud, almost high pitched “ticking” kind of vibration as it runs. I’ve had this in my one room apartment (yes, I bought this fridge myself for a one room apartment and moved the old ‘90s full-size fridge out to get some peace and quiet) for one day now, and it is barely an improvement. Truly very disappointed. The cardboard and styrofoam packaging obviously got cut and broken apart when I unboxed it, so I’m not sure what I can do now about a return. This is not at all what I was looking for or expecting.

When you close the refrigerator, the freezer pops open. Purchased Summer 2020 and it completely stopped working October 2021 (16 months later). All my food spoiled.

The freezer has issues. appears to be cycling on and off as there are times when items are soft and then there will be frost/freezer burn on them. Recently had a leftover ice cream cake that melted.

Freezer is Great for Cold Beer That Won't Freeze

Does keep things very cold. The freezer in particular is annoying because you can't keep things like meat or ice cream in it. I tried several times last year to get it fixed, replaced, or returned but kept getting the run around. We ended buying a separate chest freezer and just use this one for drinks. Probably good for the price as long as you check the temperature specs thoroughly right when you get it make sure it's cold enough for your needs.

The fridge was useless. Such a disappointment. But hey, they replaced it with a bigger whirlpool model that didn’t work either. Good times...not digging Best Buy one bit.

It lasted less than a year half before the refrigerator area started not cooling. I contacted Best Buy and the manufacturer Insignia to inquire if there was anything they could do to help me with warranty extension and was told no by both entities.
