This was a bad purchase. I bought it to use at my dads funeral. It kept freezing and wouldn't work. I brought it back and used my iPad for the photo slide show. Apple ALWAYS works! Thanks Apple!

I just received this digital photo frame. I like the size of it and how clear the pictures are. They only thing I'm not fond of is the color says espresso it's actually a rust red color. It's not a horrible color it matches my decor. Also, the stand doesn't really click into the back so if you touch it, it falls down. Overall it was what I was looking for and I'm happy with it.

Frame size and color is good but terrible photo display quality. Uploaded photos to SD card from iphone 6 and Canon Rebel camera. All photos seemed terrible. Ended up returning frame.

The digital photo did not rotate pictures and save them after you rotate them once. This was a gift and I was very disappointed she had to returned it.

This device stated off good, then all of a sudden I noticed the pictures would not advance. It tells you that you can use a USB drive and only a few pictures show. I tried another UBA drive and had the same problem.

When on sale ($39.99), this frame is a steal! It is going to be perfect for my desk at work. I was surprised how easy it was to get it started: turn it on, plug in my USB, and the slideshow starts! No adjustments to the pictures were necessary - like other frames require. It has no problem switching between landscape and portrait pictures. I did have a little problem putting the "leg" on (so the frame stands upright). I assumed the frame was cheap so didn't want to force it and break it. I didn't turn it hard enough. You have to line it up with the dot on the back in order for it to stand up without falling down...don't be afraid to push it to the dot! The frame is automatically set to RANDOM play so I changed it to sequential. And the pictures weren't vivid so I changed the brightness. I have only had the frame a day but so far I am happy with it!

Easy to operate, horrible viewing angles

I bought two of these frames, and it was extremely easy to load pictures. They went on perfectly. This is important because I have purchased frames in the past where if the pictures were of too high a resolution, it wouldn't owrk and would just display a "no" sign (red circle with line through it). My issue with the frame is the viewing angle. The viewing angle is way too tight and unless you're looking at it perfectly, the images looks horrible. For this reason, I would not recommend this frame.

DO NOT BUY - Terrible Quality

PROS: Easy to setup, not a bad price, good size, CONS: It takes all your photos and somewhat downgrades them. It blurs the images. For portrait (vertical) photos, it only uses the middle third of the entire screen. For most of the landscape (horizontal) photos, it cuts off the top 15% and the bottom 15% so you are only really seeing about 70% of your picture. It also does not have an option to shuffle the photos and play through, it seems to go through pictures in groups. OVERALL: Decent size, but it makes the photos look much worse when you display them on this frame. This was a gift, and after I saw the quality, I myself offered to take it back and exchange it for them for a different one.

This Digital Picture Frame is equipped with a zoom feature to accommodate various image sizes and aspect ratios. In order to not stretch or crop images, from the main menu, select Settings, then Photo Setup then Display Ratio then use up/down arrow keys to select the Fit to Screen option. Exit the menu and you should see your images in full view and with no stretching or cropping. - Jon, Insignia Support BBY-ExBrand_Insignia

    Great frame

I had previously bought another frame which was so terrible, so I ended up returning it and spending a little more on this. I got it on sale, and overall I think it's a grate frame for the money. The frame itself looks really nice. It is also easy to use, and comes with a remote for added ease. You can view the pictures in a slideshow mode, or in a smaller slideshow mode alongside a calendar. There is a button to rotate the photos, however it seemed that as long as my photos were the way I wanted them on the computer they stayed when I put them on the card. Also, some of the files larger than 1024 x 600 did not display, but simple resizing fixed that issue. Overall it's a great frame, and definitely worth the money compared to others.

    Mediocre & Frustrating

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 90 year old Grandmother. The frame looks like a decent quality and the pictures display clear. However, only a fraction of the pics that I loaded onto it will display at all. They are all formatted correctly, and I have spent hours reformatting and trying to get it to work correctly, but it doesn't. VERY FRUSTRATING.

    Few redeeming qualities

The frame itself is a nice color, and it recognized my memory card (which is brand new) but otherwise not a good choice. *photo quality is poor; even carefully Photoshopped images suffer *does not consistently display portrait/landscape regardless of settings *contrast, brightness, and saturation are the only options and there is no happy medium; options bizarrely range from 1-16 *does not respond to turning from landscape to portrait without a reboot- either way it's inconsistent *looks like it's even longer than 16:9- borders on panoramic *remote is slow to respond and requires more force to push buttons than is acceptable; seniors with arthritis (presumably a large proportion of people getting this as a gift) have my sympathy. *displayed with long side up, the power cable is connected to the top- baffling choice or thoughtless engineering. This was purchased for my 97 year old grandfather, I am interested in how many of these flaws he will pick up on. I'll update with his opinion if appropriate. I paid about $60 for the frame; I would not make this purchase again.

This blast from the past was a great Mother's Day gift for my wife to view pictures at work. Like all technology, the prices have dropped tremendously on these and you can get a large size for a reasonable price versus 5-10 years ago. The frame does some nice transitions between photos. It automatically corrects the orientation on some photos and does not on others, that may be user error though.

The resolution is pretty bad and the slightest change in viewing angle either washes out the photos or makes them go black. The slideshow function seems to be working fine. I'm not sure how the picture quality compares to other more expensive frames, but I might try one of those.

The photo frame has an affordable price but it delivers poor resolution images, that fade if you are looking from the sides. It's easy to use and reads usb and a sort of memory cards formats.

I bought this to replace a digital frame I gave my mother six years ago that she has kept on a 24/7 slideshow ever since. The old one was cheaper and worked better for years than this did from the start. The stand on this is flimsy and fell out repeatedly during setup. The screen quality is absolutely terrible. And most importantly it has no internal storage and can only display pictures if a USB or memory card is plugged in. Our old one stored a couple hundred pictures internally. This is going back.

Got this as a Christmas gift 2015 and was really excited because we have a usb full of our wedding pictures from our photographer. Easy to use, not as many functions as I would've wanted but still okay. Fast forward to this month (just 5 mos) and all of a sudden, its stopped scrolling the pics and said "decode error". I checked the frame, turned it off and on, unplugged and plugged the usb but it says "file not found". I plugged my usb to my laptop and the usb is now unreadable and full of gibberish and our photos lost. We plugged it to my husband's laptop and it says disk is not readable. Lesson learned, always back up your photos and if you have one of these frames, make sure to use a usb that you can throw away after. Now we have a new usb plugged in, i am hoping it will survive the next 6 mos or else this would be worse than replacing batteries in your remote control.

I have been wanting to purchase a digital picture frame for my wife for some time now. Mothers's day was the perfect day to purchase this Insignia picture frame. She loves it!! Easy to set up, upright or horizontal. Settings for auto on/off was a plus. I would recommend this item without a doubt. Deal of the deal when I purchased it was a plus.

Literally doesn't do the one thing it was made for

I loaded 47 photos, all JPEG, via USB and SD to the camera. A majority were downloaded from Facebook in JPEG format, others were taken off an iPhone or a Garmin Virb. 27 of the photos (some from each source) would not load, showing "?" instead of a photo. It appeared the frame could not read their resolution; however, Windows and OSX both read it just fine. I renamed all the photos, ripped out their metadata, reformatted both my USB and my SD, which all failed. So much for a "brilliant" gift idea, now I'll have to buy a belated card as well as a different gift. This has been a colossal waste of time.

It's a good picture frame, but it seems a little dated whether it's the screen quality or the user interface. I just seems like it needs an update. It does as advertised and it looks good in the living room.
