Works as well as the original equipment. Had tried another replacement cable and it kept being identified as subpar by the phone. This Insignia cable was the cure for the problem.

Saved the day!

Not completely useless though -- the USB outlet still worked, but the cord from the charger was on it's last limbs. So thankfully I didn't need to buy an entirely new car charger, but only the USB cable to connect from the charger to the phone. Worked like a glove, and saved me some money not having to buy a whole new charger.
