Not for the hard of hearing

I was hoping this would have a louder capability as it would be used by my elderly mother. As it turned out, she cannot hear the dialogue on most movies. She can use the captions, however. I can definitely hear the mechanism working, which can be annoying.

Good for simply use

I wanted to watch a series that I have on DVD. This product does not play Bluray or 4K. The sound quality is okay. The only this is it does not show is the running time so you can't tell how much time is left when you are watching an episode or movie.
