I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the battery life says 2.5 hours, barely the length of a movie, and because of the sound. The volume is pretty low; I had to use a headset to catch the dialogue. Other than that, it seems good.

I have bought several over the years but the one I bought in October had a whirring sound when it was playing. I returned it to Best Buy and they replaced it. Thankful for an easy fix with no stress. I also bought another new one to keep as a backup. Everyone was friendly and accommodating!

My disappointment is in the very limited function of the USB 2.0 port. Problem seems to be very limited codec in the machine. Example I have usb drives with many saved DVDs stored for when traveling but this player will not recognize my drives nor the DVD "TS" files and will not play them. This was a big disappointment BUT as a disc player it is well built and screen is bright and it does a good job.
