I thought her tablet was just more interesting but one day I decided to watch a DVD myself and found that the sound is so soft I could hardly make out what was being said. I'm very disappointed. Everything else about the player is good - picture, sturdiness, reliability - but it doesn't do us much good if we can't hear it.

After four months of daily use, it stopped loading DVDs. Up until then, it worked fine. Her only complaint was that the volume was not loud enough. I expected that the useful life of this unit would have been more than 4 months.
