Excellent shredding and quiet. Only negative is the way you have to empty the canister when full. You have to take the top completely off and believe me, it's not light.

I love using this shredder. It works efficiently and effectively. It is very easy to use, and I haven't experienced any paper jams while using this product. Overall it is a great shreeder!!

Great buy! My last shredder of the same brand name lasted almost ten years! We moved everything to digital, so we had about two years of paper to shred, and it worked perfectly!

We wanted to buy a home paper shredder with the capability to shred CD’s/DVD’s from my old office days and we recently purchased this Insignia 10 sheet crosscut CD paper shredder from Best Buy. For our purposes it is very good at the shredding and storage part. (5 stars) The controls allow you to keep it on idle or turn it completely off - your choice. It runs very quiet. The factor that made me only give it 4 stars is the fact that there is a handle for lifting the heavy mechanical part off the storage basket but there is no indentation or ‘handle’ for easily grabbing the basket and dumping it. Adding this feature on the next design update would add the 5th star.

Shreds well. Small size is convenient in office. Haven't used very long, but am happy with results.

So far so good. Much better than what I looked at at another store where the buttons to operated the machine were all broke and pushed in. Cheap garbage. This product is heavy duty. I've saved 3 paper bags full of papers to shred and I do it everyday. Worth every dime I spent on it. Buy it!!!

Far quieter and efficient than units I have worked with at home and work. Feeds easily and accepts, without hesitation, multiple sheets simultaneously. ItI also holds more shredded material than most other units I have considered.

Operate as it should, I have not one complaint about this purchase.

I love this little thing, not that I shred many cd’s these days but it’s always good to have the option. It works well and is perfect size for my work load would recommend for home use.

Great shredder at a great price. It slices and dices your paper documents and credit cards with ease. I wish the bin was a bit bigger but the window in the front makes up for it. No more guessing if the bin is overfilling. I strongly recommend it for your home use.

This thing is a God sent. It chews thru everything

For a 10 sheet of paper shredder this is quite good compared to the one I bought at other store, it has enough space for a box full of papers and it’s quick going through a bunch of paper that you want shredded

The Insignia 1--sheet Crosscut Paper Shredder works great. It cuts paper sharply as well as my outdated cards and old CDs. It's quiet and efficient. The crosscutting ensures that your papers won't be able to be pieced back together. A must buy for home and small office shredding.

Affordable and good quality shredder. I love using my Best Buy shredder for all of my personal needs for the house. Highly recommended if you need a shredder.

Fast, easy to use, doesn't jam, quiet when it runs.

Shreds the heck out of paper. More compact than my last one, but eats paper better. It is the design where the head unit comes off the top, which makes it a little top-heavy and harder to empty tha a drawer-style, but for the money and taking up less space it's worth it.

This shredder does a great job. I have already shredded four large black bags of documents and it took about two hours. I am very pleased with the ease of using this shredder plus you can see how fast it is filling up with shredded paper so you can empty the container and start again.

What a great compact workhorse! Gets the job done!
