Quieter, and seems more "sturdy" than others I've used. Does a great job, and I thought the price was fair.

So far so good with this shredder. Price was right so I upgraded from an old strip shredder that you just placed over a small waste basket. I much prefer this with it's own wastebasket and the crosscut feature and credit card and CD shredder is nice to have, although not many people use CDs anymore. Handles what I need shredded with the extra reassurance my shredded documents are safe with the crosscut feature. I like that it has a reverse feature after shedding is complete to clean the shredder of any stuck material and that it has an auto on feature.

Quick, quiet enough, and gets the job done! Not much more you can ask for with a $50 shredder.

This is my first paper Shredder for the home and it works perfectly. You need to buy a special machine oil separately and clean the spindle once a month. The paper and plastic credit cards are totally shredded into small unreadable confetti. To nitpick, there is no top cover over the paper slot to prevent things from falling in from children or adults so for added safety, I just made my own plastic cover. I'm really happy with it and have no reservations in recommending this product. It's a great unit! :)

Bought it over a year ago and it still works!!! No issues.

Works great for home office shreds a decent amount before getting full

This schredder does exactly what it indicated it was designed to do.

Like — cutter reverses at end of shred, but a bit too quickly. Dislike — small capacity basket and not as easy to feed as previous shredder. Use as personal shredder at home. Recommendation — it’s O.K. but a little light-weight even for home use.

Perfect size vs power combo in a shredder. Oh and the price is right too. I compare Best Buy’s house brand names with costcos house brands.

Works perfect for my home office. Easy to empty. Though, I do wish the wastebasket was a little taller. Otherwise, no complaints. Shreds well.

It is light weight, and cuts great. I love that you can shred Credit cards with this machine. It is true the size, and amount of papers it will cut at one time.

My old shredder died. It was a good shredder but I had used it for years, and just worn it out. I went looking for a new one. I have limited space. So the shredder had to meet a certain size. I wanted one that was a cross shredder and that held a lot of shredded material. Oh, and it had to be less that $100. I went to several stores and found nothing that met my criteria. Mush of the shredders that I saw didn't seem to have the quality that I expected. Then, I got to Best Buy. I asked where the shredders were located and a helpful man showed me the exact spot. I noticed that they only had one brand of shredder in the store - Insignia. I knew that this was Best Buy's brand but had never bought any Insignia before. However, I looked at the specs, and it was the perfect match for my needs. I asked the price - $79, and I said, "Consider it sold". Once installed in my office, I was impressed by the quality, the quietness, and the efficiency of the machine. I am very impressed with this shredder and look forward to many years of shredding!

This shredder is quiet and easy to use. I also like the handle on the top to take the top off.

Drawers full of old documents to shred… works great!

Product works great. It's silent. I have not had a paper jam since I bought the product 5-6 months ago.
