Had stop buying shredding machines cause they always broke on me so quickly but this is great had a big job to shred it did it…got warm I let it cool down and started again…it stated it could shred through staples and it did several times and it was not intentional cause I didn’t want it to break although it said it could didn’t want to chance it..love it..worth buying…got 3 tall kitchen trash bags full & used shredded papers for packing glasses when I moved.

What does this product have in common with Eddie Van Halen and the Ninja Turtles archnemesis? They're all Shredders! This 10-sheet crosscut paper/CD shredder from Insignia has a low price tag, but it absolutely rips (or rather, shreds)! With such a small form factor, you wouldn't expect this shredder to absolutely annihilate every task you feed it, but it most certainly does. I mean this thing chews up paper like that's its job. Because it is! And it does that job well. Very well.

It is probably overkill for just in-home use, but our 6-sheet cross cut shredder we had before didn't last long. This tore through sheets like butter, and did so much more quietly.

This is one of the best shredder that I have owned for the price.

This is by far the best shredder I have ever purchased, It shreds sheets of paper effortlessly. It shreds plastic cards just as effortlessly (I have not had occasion to try a CD, but have no doubt it will chew through them just as easily). I wish I would have had this model 4 years ago when I had a shredding project at home - I had to keep stopping because of overheating on the old shredder). I have not observed overheating issues with this shredder. This shredder will, however, stop if you try to shred too much at a time. I would definitely buy it again if the need arises.

I have a home office and man having this shreddar has been amazing! Its fun to use pol plus it cut credit cards really well! I use this a lot and ive had it for 3 weeks and so dat it has not failed me. I use it A LOT. In the future ill probably want to invest in a bigger one but for now since im working from home this machine works great and its compact. I would definitely recommend!

Love the size, not so loud and shreds paper very well. I wish the removal compartment would had been a door type instead of having to removed the top part instead. other than that I like it.

This shredder is a very great value, better than others we have had. It does get warm, just like every other small shredder like it. But it is quite reliable so far.
