It is for home use, shredding unwanted mail adverts, old personal files, and small online business info. It does smell a little hot when in use, but has not yet been a problem, as I use it for short periods of time. (This has never happened with my previous shredder.) I have not yet tried it with CD etc. I does fine with credit card material.

An Economical and Good Paper Shredder

It works efficiently and shreds paper, CD's, and Credit Cards. You do not have to remove staples from paper. It has a window on the front so you can see how full the shredder is. It's a good value for the price.

This is the third shredder I have purchased; they were from other places but I had to return them all after a week or month for breakage or the blades being stuck. Also, this shredder is the least expensive one I purchased and it’s working better than all the others I had to return. Thank you for this great product!!!

I am very pleased with this one and consider it a great purchase. It shreds smoothly and swiftly. My husband died a year ago and I have much paperwork to shred. After reading all the reviews, I decided to try this one and after using it for a month, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Good Bin Size, Quiet, Good Value

We looked at other models, but they had a smaller bin and lower sheet capacity. When we started using it, I noticed that it was quieter than the unit it replaced and it seemed to shred a bit faster.

However,in order to get the paper to be grabbed by the cutters, I have to shove the paper pretty far down into the feeder. This is a bit inconvenient and takes time to get used to it. I like the window on the side of the basket to see how filled it is.
