Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This shredder is the best I've used outside of an industrial office shredder, I used to rip through Amazon junk every couple months not to mention the overheats every 10 minutes. I just had to shred old paperwork dating back to 1953 (he saved everything), three big trash bags full without one overheat incident. Great machine.

This little guy did the job!! 12 garbage bags latter and it still runs perfect. I would reccomend this product, especially at this price point.

Insignia 10-Sheet Shredder
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Waited for this shredder to go on sale, as it is a little bit bigger than the 6 sheet one they had. I had only used it a couple of times and it sounded like the motor was dying. I noticed all this paper had gotten jammed in the teeth. Not sure why, I only shredded one sheet at a time. Hit reverse and all the paper fell out...no wonder why it sounded that way. It works a lot better now, not sure about shredding CD's or multiple pieces of paper, but it gets the job done. Holds a lot of shreds before needing to empty.

The height is ideal for where it is placed (under the office desk). The capacity of shreddd paper is also useful as it is shredded so finely that more documents are able to be cut down.

Should Have Bought This Sooner!

There are two things in particular that I really like about this Insignia 10 Sheet. First, it is WAY more quiet. And second, it continues to run for about five seconds before shutoff in the "auto" mode. This clears the chute. Could not be happier.
