I am pleasantly surprised at the performance of this shredder, especially at this price point. I only use it occasionally and have not really pushed it to where it shuts down. The most I put in is five or six sheets of paper at time. It tears rights threw them fast. Doesn’t struggle at all. Pretty powerful little unit, perfect for occasional home users like me.

I put this shredder to the test. It shreds good and it work good. It did over heat and stop working for like 20 mins. I had used for about 40 mins straight. And it seemed to struggle a little when putting 4-6 pages at a time. So I just put in 1 or 2 pages at a time. Overall it's not a bad product for the price.

Small but useful. 9 sheet max at a time. Jammed a few times but overall great

I'm kind of spoiled when it comes to shredders and am used to having a 12 sheet shredder so the downgrade to 6 sheets is annoying. However, this shredder shreds everything it needs to and is affordable on every budget. If you're shredding 6 pages, unfold them or it will jam. Just to be safe, do a maximum of 2 pages at a time.

We needed a small shredder to fit a new built in we had made from our kitchen. We have larger shredder we bought at Costco about 10years ago that was too big Other than size the difference between this compact shredder and the Costco one is this one doesn't do CDs, but who uses CDs anymore? This one might not shred as many pieces of paper but I believe it does 6 which is adequate. It's a good small shredder for the money.

When I first purchased this, I had read reviews on this product overheating and I was a bit skeptical. But fortunately, I haven't experienced any issues with this shredder. I try not to overload the shredder and try to put less than 10 sheets in at a time when I can. So far, it has done a great job of shredding everything I have put in.

Noise little high but it does the job well. so far haven't had any problem. It's affordable, fits for home use.

It's a good shredder for the price. This wouldn't be the best one to use if you trying to shred the evidence of money laundering from your business records, but it's good for light home use. However, it does get overheated quite easily.

if you need to shred on a weekly or daily basis this shredder gets the job done. just done overload it or try to shred a months worth of mail in one sitting. it will overheat but if you take your time shredding and you're feeding a reasonable amount of paper into the shredder then it usually doesn't overheat. i think it works great

Quality product at a good price! Handles multiple pages with ease and has a fairly long runtime without overheating. Tip: Continuously feeding the max number of pages may cause the unit to overheat quicker. Compact size works for storage however the basket requires frequent emptying. Overall I'm happy with this purchase.

The Insignia shredder is very reasonably priced and it works great. The only thing I don't like is after using it for some time you have to unplug is and let it cool down for a short period of time, like 15 minutes. Then it works again fine. If not for that, I would give it 5 stars.

This shredder does the job. It helps give peace of mind. It will temporarily stop working when it gets over heated. Then you have to wait a while for it to come back on. So depending how much you’re shredding keep that in mind.

I had no expectations when first going in to find a paper shredder. I was looking for one that shredded both paper and credit cards for a decent price. I purchased this one for $39.99 and it was a great deal. It shreds the items at a decent speed and although a little noisy, it is a great product.

It’s a good good buy for the price. It’s noisy but does the job. The speed is decent.
