Replaced an older shredder with this unit and I couldn't be more pleased with it. No more having to run just 1 piece of paper through at a time. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a shredder that does the job for home use.

As our filing cabinet is getting maxed out again, time to shred old bills and such. Works as expected with no problems. From papers, old credit cards and even CD shreds without a hitch. Fits easily under the desk so it's super convenient. Looking for shredder without shredding your wallet - get this shredder.

Works great for small jobs. Only downside is if you use it a lot at one time, it overheats quickly and then won’t shred.

Perfect for my small writing business. I don't have large quantities to shred, so doing it six sheets at a time is no worry. Nice and compact so it just blends right in with the rest of the home office. Love it!

My shredder just overheated and died and ordered this Insignia shredder. There was some problem with the shipping but Best Buy customer service dealt with it by having another sent and arrived promptly. The unit is smaller than my other and easier to empty [other was shelf-like] and this one just lift off the top. It shreds 2-3 sheets easily but more causes a strain but since I use this in my home office - no problem. I would only advise this be used for home use.

It's quite good and mostly suites my purposes, but 6 sheets is overly optimistic, 4 is more realistic. I was debating between the 6-sheet and the 10-sheet, I was interested in the 10-sheet not only because of greater capacity and the smaller shredding size, but because of not having to remove staples or paper clips, but it wasn't clear from the information on the box whether the 10-sheet also shredded credit cards like the 6-sheet. I asked the attendant, and he couldn't find that information either. It would help to have it clearly stated on the box.

Just don't overdue it on the paper and you are good to go. It maxes out at 6, but I just put 2-3 pages in at a time and it makes quick work of them. Shreds those old cards you might have in your wallet really well. Great price. I'm not the kind of person who would spend 100+ on a shredder.

For the money, I can't really complain. It does the job well enough, just runs a bit louder than other shredders I've had in the past. But if you need one, it's a great deal when on sale!

I love this shredder. It is considerable lower in price than the others I looked at in other stores. I love that it has an overheat light but so far when using it, it has never overheated! I am hoping it last longer than the shredders I have purchased in the past at other stores.

Works pretty good easy to use. Only thing is that it only accepts less than 6 sheets. If you use 5 or 6 sheets it warms up and goes into protect mode right away.

It is very good for the price and used easy. It overheats and pauses after working over 10 minutes, have to wait a couple minutes to let it cool down then back to work. Overall, I love it.

I like the size of this shredder. I does a great job of shredding my junk mail, it’s just a bit to noisy but overall it does a great job.

Works great! We are shredding a bunch of old bank statements and it gets overheated. We take a break for a few minutes and it works like a champ again! I would recommend this.

Is very small & compact. Was able to shred papers quickly. Also shredded a credit card with ease. After fills up ..you just toss out the paper scraps. Decent pricing, worth the buy! Is definitely recommend this product.

This shredder is very easy to use. Works smoothly and did not over heat after a few passes. Very pleased with my purchase. Which is a good thing because there really weren't that many to choose from!

We normally shred our documents once a month but with this shredder we are able to shared them all the time. We have put in 8 pages occasionally and it's raking it like a champ. If you run it for a long time it will shut off because it becomes too hot.

Great shredder for the money though you can over heat it fairly easily I needed to shred a number of documents and it took me a bit longer than I would like.

I have purchased 2 shredders in 2 years because of over hearing issues. This shredder is great. We have used it continually for over an hour and it keeps on shredding. This is a reasonably priced shredder that does the job right!

At times, I have to shred some documents, and this one does the crosscut job. One does have to be obviously careful, as the blades are sharp. It does have an indicator if it overheats, so it's designed for "light shredding".

Bought this during a sale. It is very effective; it shreds to its maximum capacity. We have had it for two months and it is still good as new. It can be loud but almost all shredders do
