It is a little slow, but it does an extremely thorough job. I think the advertised 10 sheets is a bit much. I limit myself to 5 sheets of 24 pound paper. Cheaper paper would be easier.

I just got this today. My cheap Aldi's one works better than this one. After using it keeps over heating & now it makes a humming noise, squeaks as well. Out of box for a few minutes it worked great. It kept over heating. Not worth the price. Defective. I purchased based on tbe reviews. Disappointing for this price point. Going back.

This product is even better than advertised. Powerful, neat and absolutely what I needed.

I have never, ever given a bad review for a product before but this is the biggest piece of junk I've ever purchased. It will only shred 2 pages at a time and the motor strains trying to shred the two pages. It also overheats within 3 minutes of shredding. For the price of this unit that shouldn't happen. I've had other shredders in the past and never have I ever had one that says 10 pages max but I tried 6, 4 and finally found it will shred 2 but with a straining motor. I just had to purchase another shredder, a different brand entirely, because this one is a total failure for me. I do NOT recommend this shredder. Very disappointed. My fault for not purchasing a better brand and a better quality unit.

I need a shredder to replace my previous only, bought like 8 years ago. This shredder works well for my home office needs, and price is just right.

The Insignia shredder does everything it says it can. However the receptacle is much to small. Also, if the shredder where to shred 10 sheets of paper at one time, the paper would need to be very thin sheets.

Light weight, cuts really nice small pieces and love the wheels.
