I've only had one paper jam, and that was really my fault based on how I loaded the shredder. I've used it on credit cards with no issues. Time will tell how reliable this product is, but I'm very satisfied with the performance to date.

Not your father's shredder

This Insignia shredder is not what I expected. Although it does cut a single sheet at a time into very small bits, it will NOT shred ten pieces of paper at a time, without nearly stalling. It is very noisy and the bin is too small. It overheats rapidly and stops shredding when fed multiple sheets at a time and then the cool-down period is long.

She had been saving her documents to shred for a while. Can't be too careful these days! After reading lots of reviews, I decided on this one. She got busy & shredded all those documents at one time with no problems. She says she is delighted with its performance.
