This Insignia product was twice the height of the MailMate. With a sale and BB rewards, the cost was lower that $75. The pro's are: smaller cuts than MailMate, ease of use (drawer pull vs lifting the top) and larger container thus fewer times to empty out. The con: this Insignia product doesn't cut CDs in the same cross cut pieces but in wide strips. Otherwise, this could have received 5 stars. The noise level seemed to be higher than the MailMate.

Junk mail destroyer

It wasn't super expensive and it works every time. I'd recommend not doing up to the max number of pages. It goes so slow it probably is faster just doing big jobs in bunches. So far I haven't had an issue of it overheating a lot either. The wheels also make moving the device around very easy.

Exchanged it and apparently the newer ones come with wheels installed. It handles paper ok and shreds cds well but does them in chunks. The cut does make paper into extremely small particles and dust. Very secure shredder. No overheat after 30 min. of regular use. Just check your purchase before leaving. Package is flimsy so make sure no breakeage.
