It will overheat after continuous use, especially when approaching the max thickness, but by that time I'm ready to take a break. It does the job and the removable basket is nice, though the top of the bin is too big to make use of a normal paper shopping bag for disposal without shredded paper going everywhere. Overall, I'm happy with it and would buy it again.

This was the perfect shredder until the power button started sticking, the wheel made it easier to move, very easy to empty as all you had to do was just pull the pull the bucket out. Loved it!

Very good shredder. Was able to shred 2 large boxes of paper without any problem or overheating. I did have a problem with shredding one credit card. It is too thick I guess. But had no problems shredding CDs. That is the only reason I gave it only 4 stars. Really like the microcut of the paper.

Works very well, my only advice? Do not put more than 4-5 stapled sheets through it all at once. It is not industrial, remove paper clips too. Otherwise so useful. It can overheat if you use it for more than a half hour in one sitting.

I read a lot of reviews of a lot of shredders. I went to Best Buy and selected the Insignia shredder. All my other ones loaded from the side. This one loads to the front and makes a lot less mess when emptying it. I like the lights on it. It is very easy to use. I would recommend it for home use.

This thing works very well, however you have to be mindful of how much paper your putting in at one setting. it can do 10 sheets but if your constantly feeding it it will overheat.Then you will have to wait until it cools down ,But overall very happy with it.

So practical, so perfect, so needed... Just don’t overstuff it. I’m used to the office shredder and have little patience so the 10 page limit really drives me crazy but for the price and purpose (personal) cannot complain.

Just what I was looking for to shred old documents. It handles 10 pages at a time and shreds it into tiny pieces that will be near impossible for theives to restore. It is quiet compared to my old shredder and last for nearly 30 min of continuous use before needing time to cool down.

This little machine does a fine job for what I want it to do... shred papers. The micro cut is perfect to insure no chance of anyone stealing information. It is a little on the loud side, but for the 30 seconds I have it run at a time, it's no deal breaker for me. Not sure how it would hold up to constant heavy use. But to just dispose of mail... I have no regrets of purchasing this item.

It works well. Haven't needed to cool down yet, very quiet but kinda slow.

I've been using for a while now, and I am pleased with how this shredder has worked. I don't use it daily, weekly at most, and it shreds everything I put in. The shredder I had before did more pages at a time, so I have to learn not to put too many in it. Otherwise its working very good.

No issues and easy to use. Easy to empty. Wheels are nice.

This thing has shredded anything I've thrown at it. I used it for a lot of personal paperwork that I no longer need and the auto off function and overheating detection gives me peace of mind. It's a great shredder.

Very happy with this purchase! It has been an absolute work horse! The size of the shredded pieces make me feel secure that my identity won't be stolen by my discarded mail. My ID had been stolen several years ago and it took a long time to get it straightened out. Love this shredder! It's the best one I've owned.

All of the evidence ... GONE! It's been a month so far, and the paper trail is STILL vanishing! POOF! This seems to be a solid machine. So far, I'm very satisfied. Will it last more than a year or two? I'd bet it will!

This is the best shredder I have purchased over the years. I love the sheet capacity, large compartment and the ease of emptying it with no mess. I recommend it for home and individual work space. The pieces are shredded into tiny pieces for max security.

A little noisy, but very effective. Had a large stack of CDs that I needed to destroy and this shredder chewed right through them. Does great work on paper as well. Makes quick work for any shredding needs.

We shred everything that has identifying information on it so this is a useful tool. I do wish it did more sheets at a time (prior one we had was able to do 15 sheets, but didn't cross cut). However, it does the job effectively.
